Law 3037/2002 was a controversial law passed by the Greek government Greece In 2002 and was later repealed in 2011.The law effectively banned all electronic games in public places in the hopes that it would fight illegal gambling in the country. The bill was formulated after a member of the then ruling Panhellenic Socialist Movement (PASOK) political party was videotaped in an illegal gambling establishment, resulting in public hysteria that was fueled by sensationalist reporting in the press. The bill was passed on 29 July 2002 to take effect with its publication in the Government Gazette, pursuant to the enabling article.

Although many of their activities were reported as serious participation in conferences or protests against the militarization of space, some were also considered art pranks, media pranks, or elaborate spoof. Lupando Mwape was a Zambian politician. He served as the ninth vice-president of Zambia from 2004 to 2006 under President Levy Mwanawasa, who indicated that, had Mwape not been defeated in the 2006 parliamentary election, he would almost certainly have been re-appointed vice-president. Mwape was succeeded by Rupiah Banda, who became president on Mwanawasa's death in 2008. He died in 2019 at the age of 69. And has a name sake Lupando Chipimo.

Fen is a British post-black metal band formed in 2006 from the Fens of East Anglia signed to the label Code666. Their Myspace page reports that they "draw the listener into a windswept and desolate landscape, bereft of hope". In 2006 they recorded the Ancient Sorrow EP and January 2009 saw the release of the first full-length album The Malediction Fields under the CODE666 record label. In 2011 they released the second studio album Epoch, gaining positive reviews in leading magazines Metal Hammer (8/10) and Terrorizer magazine (7.5/10). The album was launched at the Bull & Gate venue in London with support from Old Corpse Road on 11 February 2011.
