Goderich United is a Sierra Leonean football club based in Goderich, a suburb of Freetown, Sierra Leone. The Goderich United is currently playing in the Sierra Leone National First Division, the second highest football league.

Kenema is the third largest city in Sierra Leone, and the largest city in the country's Eastern Province. It is the capital of Kenema District and a major economic center of the Eastern Province. At the 2015 national census, Kenema had a population of 200,354. Kenema is located approximately 200 miles from Freetown, and 60 kilometres (40 mi) south of Bo.
Koidu Town is the capital and largest city of the diamond-rich Kono District in the Eastern Province of Sierra Leone. The population of Koidu Town is 124,662 based on the 2015 Sierra Leone national census. Koidu Town is the fifth largest city in Sierra Leone by population, after Freetown, Kenema, Bo and Makeni. Koidu Town is a major urban, business, commercial and diamond trade center. Koidu Town lies approximately 280 miles east of Freetown, and about 60 miles north of Kenema.

During pre-colonial days, the Sherbro were one of the most dominant ethnic group in Sierra Leone, but in the early 21st century, the Sherbro comprise a small minority in the nation. Patricia Kabbah was a Sierra Leonean lawyer who served as First Lady of Sierra Leone from 1996 to 1998. She was the first wife of Sierra Leone's third president, Ahmad Tejan Kabbah. She is widely regarded as one of the most influential first ladies in the history of Sierra Leone.

Dr. Prince Alex Harding . Harding was the Minister of Safety and Security from February 2001 to May 2002, when he became the Minister of Transport and Communications. He was also the secretary general of the Sierra Leone People's Party. Harding was suspended from his post on 5 June 2007.

Hassan Koeman Sesay is a Sierra Leonean international footballer who plays for Hà Nội ACB, one of the biggest clubs in the Vietnamese top football league. Sesay also plays for the Sierra Leone national football team, for whom he has appeared in a 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifying match. He started his football career with local club Real Republicans in the Sierra Leone National First Division, the highest football league in Sierra Leone. He spent some seasons at the club then move to Goderich United then FC Kallon then Omani Al-Nasr based in Salalah before he moved to Vietnam.

The Sierra Leone Broadcasting Corporation (SLBC) is the national radio and television broadcaster in Sierra Leone. It is owned by the government of Sierra Leone and is a branch of the Sierra Leone Ministry of Information and Communications. It is theoretically regulated by the Independent Media Commission (IMC). The SLBC primarily broadcasts the national television and regional radio service from its headquarters in the New England neighborhood of Freetown. Regional stations provide FM radio services in Bo, Kenema, Kailahun, Makeni, Magburaka and Koidu.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Sierra Leone refers to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and its members in Sierra Leone. At year-end 2009, there were 8,054 members in 17 branches in Sierra Leone. In 2021, there were 26,108 members in 86 congregations. In 2019, Sierra Leone ranked as having the second most LDS Church members per capita in Africa, behind Cape Verde.
