Greenwood/Greenbriar is a residential neighbourhood in the northwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is bounded by the Trans-Canada Highway to the south, the Bow River to the north, Stoney Trail to the west and the community of Bowness to the east. Canada Olympic Park borders the neighbourhood to the south. The community consists primarily of a mobile home park, Greenwood Village; maps since the early 1980s have shown proposed streets south of the mobile home park and north of the Trans-Canada Highway, but as of 2019 development had begun on a community named Greenwich that would primarily include semi-detached homes, commercial businesses & restaurants. It is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 1 councillor.
In the City of Calgary's 2016 municipal census, Greenwood/Greenbriar had a population of 905 living in 485 dwellings, a 4.3% decrease from its 2012 population of 946. [2] With a land area of 1.2 km2 (0.46 sq mi), it had a population density of 750/km2 (1,950/sq mi) in 2016. [4] [2]
Residents in this community had a median household income of $54,638 in 2016, and there were 15% low income residents living in the neighbourhood. [2] As of 2016, 8% of the residents were immigrants. All buildings were single-family detached homes or mobile homes, and 15% of the housing was used for renting. [2]
Pineridge is a neighbourhood in Northeast Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and is one of four neighbourhoods that make up what is called the Properties, along with Whitehorn, Temple, and Rundle. It is bordered by 32 Ave NE to the north, 52nd Street NE to the west, 16th Avenue NE to the south, and 68th Street NE to the east.
University Heights is a residential neighbourhood in the northwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It is bordered by the University of Calgary, McMahon Stadium, the Alberta Children's Hospital and Foothills Hospital. It is a relatively small neighbourhood and is bounded to the north by 24 Avenue NW, to the east by University Drive NW, to the south by 16 Avenue NW and to the west by Shaganappi Trail NW.
Hounsfield Heights/Briar Hill is an inner suburban neighbourhood in northwest Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Located north of the Hillhurst and West Hillhurst communities, the boundaries of the district are 16th Avenue N to the north; 14th Street W to the east; Lane north of 7th Avenue N to 19th Street W and 8th Avenue N to the south; and Crowchild Trail, 12th Avenue N, Juniper Road, and 22nd Street W to the west. Lions Park C-Train station and North Hill Centre are located within the community. In the early 90s, a gas station located in the North Hill Centre parking lot was found to have been leaking fuel, contaminating the soil and groundwater in Hounsfield Heights with benzene and 1,2-Dichloroethane. The community is built on an escarpment and is popular for its views of downtown to the south and the Rocky Mountains to the west.
Wildwood is an established neighbourhood in the Southwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It was first settled in 1883 and developed in the 1950s on a plateau to the south to the Bow River valley, and is primarily composed of single-detached bungalows on wide lots with rear laneways.
Varsity is an established neighbourhood in the Northwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It was developed in the 1960s and early 1970s on a plateau to the north of the Bow River valley, and is primarily composed of Single-detached dwellings on wide lots. The neighbourhood comprises three major areas: Varsity Acres, Varsity Village, and Varsity Estates. Varsity is bounded on the north and east by Crowchild Trail, on the west by the Bow River, and on the south by 32nd Avenue NW. It borders the neighbourhoods of Silver Springs and Bowness on the west side, and both Montgomery and the University of Calgary campus on the south side. The easternmost portion of Varsity contains the University of Calgary Research Park.
The Downtown West End is a neighbourhood within the western portions of downtown Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It is bounded to the north by the Bow River, to the east by 9th Street W, to the south by the CPR Tracks and to the west by 14th Street W.

Valley Ridge is a residential neighbourhood in the northwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It is located at the western edge of the city, south of the Bow River and north of the Trans-Canada Highway. The Valley Ridge golf course is located in the northern part of the community. The community is located on the former site of the Happy Valley Campground a fun park with slides, which was a major destination for visitors to Calgary until it was closed in the 1980s; the campground was located where the golf course is now situated.
Banff Trail is a residential neighbourhood in the northwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is located northeast of the intersection of Crowchild Trail and Trans-Canada Highway, east of McMahon Stadium and the University of Calgary. The Banff Trail station of the C-train LRT system serves the community, which contains a large motel village in the southwest corner.
Rosedale is a residential neighbourhood in the northwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is located south of the Trans-Canada Highway, between 4th and 10th Street NW. To the south it is bounded by McHugh Bluff Park and the community of Sunnyside.
Mount Pleasant is a residential neighbourhood in the northwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is located immediately north from the Trans-Canada Highway and the community of Rosedale. To the north and west it is bounded by the Confederation Park.
Capitol Hill is a residential neighbourhood in the northwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It is located immediately north of the Trans-Canada Highway, and is bisected by 14th Street West. The Southern Alberta Institute of Technology and the North Hill shopping center are located south of the community. To the north it is bounded by the Confederation Park.
Tuxedo Park is a residential neighbourhood in the northeast and northwest quadrants of Calgary, Alberta. The inner city community is bounded to the north by 32 Avenue N, by Edmonton Trail to the east, the Trans-Canada Highway to the south and 2 Street NW to the west. The community is bisected by Centre Street from north to south.
West Springs is a residential neighbourhood in the southwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It is located at the western edge of the city, and is bordered to the west by the acreages and estate homes of Springbank. To the east it is bounded by 69 Street W, to the south by Bow Trail and to the north by Old Banff Coach Road, the community of Cougar Ridge and the Canada Olympic Park.

Strathcona Park lies in the center of the neighbourhood.
Douglasdale is a residential neighbourhood in the southeast quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is bounded by 114 Avenue S to the north, 130 Avenue S to the south, Deerfoot Trail to the east and the Bow River to the west. The Fish Creek Provincial Park borders the neighbourhood to the west. Douglasglen is located in the northern area, north of Deerfoot Trail.
St. Andrews Heights is a residential neighbourhood in the northwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is bounded to the north by the Trans-Canada Highway, to the east by Crowchild Trail, to the south by Toronto Crescent, and to the west by 29 Street. The Foothills Medical Centre occupies the northwestern corner of the community, and McMahon Stadium and the Foothills Athletic Park borders to the northeast. The Bow River flows immediately south of the neighbourhood.
Monterey Park is a residential neighbourhood in the northeast quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is at the eastern edge of the city, bounded by McKnight Boulevard to the north, 68 Street E to the west, Trans-Canada Highway to the south and 84 Street E to the east.
Shepard Industrial is a neighbourhood in the southeast quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. Although predominantly industrial, it contains a pocket of residential area in the northwest corner, including a mobile home park.
