Gwaith/Cartref (English: Home/Work) is a Welsh language television series that in set in the comprehensive school of Bro Taf, broadcast on S4C. The show was set in the Welsh valley Rhondda Cynon Taf from series one until the end of series five, and Rhymney Valley from the beginning of series six until the end of the show in series nine. The first episode was broadcast on S4C on 18 September 2011 and the final episode on 12 April 2018. Gwaith/Cartref ran for 90 episodes and almost 7 years. In 2019, the first three series were made available on S4C Clic.
It was the third new drama series to appear on S4C for 2011, next to Alys and Porthpenwaig. It follows the professional and personal lives of a group of teachers working at a Welsh language comprehensive school, dealing with a number of issues during and after the school day. The first half of each episode centres on the work-side, the second half on the home-side of the storyline. Actress Rhian Blythe won a BAFTA Cymru Best Actress award for her role in the 2014 series of the show. Siw Hughes was nominated for the same award. [1]
Series 6, featuring mostly all new characters at a new school, started broadcast on 20 January 2016, [2] with Series 7, directly continuing the story, starting on 7 September 2016. [3] Series 8 was broadcast from 11 January 2017 to March 2017. [4] Series 9 is broadcast from February to April 2018, returning to the show's original runtime of hour-long episodes after several series of half-hour episodes.
Gwaith/Cartref is broadcast on Welsh-language channel S4C with English subtitles. It began airing on 18 September 2011 in the new Sunday night drama timeslot of 9.00pm, like previous new series Alys and Porthpenwaig. The show was also broadcast on freeview-only HD channel S4C Clirlun (clear picture). Episodes can also be followed on S4C online service "Clic" and are available for up to 35 days before expiration. Caerdydd is a Welsh language television programme set in Cardiff made by Fiction Factory for Welsh public service television station S4C. The series is "a stylish, new drama about modern, urban Welsh-speakers living in a bilingual city" following "a group of modern urban twenty- and thirtysomethings" with "their complex friendships and relationships [set] against a backdrop of relentless socialising". First commissioned by S4C's drama editor Angharad Jones in 2005, as part of a drive by S4C to reach a younger audience, the third series of Caerdydd started its run on S4C on 30 March 2008. A fourth series was commissioned and went into production in Spring 2008. It started broadcasting on 14 June 2009.

Gethin Clifford Jones is a Welsh television presenter. He was an active rugby union player while at Manchester Metropolitan University and, after graduation, he began his television career on Welsh language channel S4C as a presenter of children's programmes such as Popty, Mas Draw and the flagship children's entertainment show Uned 5.

His television work has included thirteen years in the BBC Cymru soap opera Pobol y Cwm, Seargent Tom Swann in the last series of A Mind to Kill and six series of the Welsh-language version of Mr & Mrs – Sion a Sian for HTV. Bryn Dwyfor Williams is a chef originally from Denbigh, Wales. He is the head chef and sole proprietor of Odette's Restaurant, Primrose Hill, London. He shot to fame as merely a sous chef in 2006 by beating established and well-known chefs to cook the fish course for the Queen's 80th birthday celebrations on the television programme Great British Menu. He is now widely regarded as one of Wales' best chefs and one of Britain's new crop of "celebrity" chefs. In June 2015 he opened his new bistro, Bryn@Porth Eirias, on the sea shore in the north Wales town of Colwyn Bay. In 2018 he married Sharleen Spiteri, the frontwoman of Scottish band Texas, and the pair have become something of a celebrity couple in their own right. In 2021, they appeared on motoring podcast Fuelling Around to discuss their love of cars as well as their successful careers.
Geraint Wyn Todd is a Welsh actor, originally from Pontypridd in the South Wales Valleys. Ysgol Gyfun y Strade is a Welsh-medium comprehensive school and sixth form in the town of Llanelli, Wales. It opened in September 1977 as a mixed gender school. In 2022 there were 1,209 pupils enrolled at the school.
Ysgol Bro Gwaun is a secondary comprehensive school in the town of Fishguard in north Pembrokeshire. It is a predominantly English-medium school with significant use of Welsh, and has a catchment area covering the towns of Fishguard and Goodwick, the villages of Scleddau, Letterston and Newport and the surrounding areas including the Gwaun valley.
Caryl Parry Jones is a Welsh singer, actress and presenter. She was born in the Flintshire village of Ffynnongroyw and attended Ysgol Glan Clwyd in St. Asaph, but now lives in Cowbridge, in the Vale of Glamorgan.

Lisa Jên Brown is a Welsh actress and singer with the Welsh language folk band 9Bach. She is originally from Bethesda, Gwynedd, north Wales and is the daughter of Welsh actress Linda Brown. She attended drama school at Ysgol Glanaethwy, beginning her acting career at 14 years old; she landed her first acting break on the Welsh TV drama Rownd a Rownd on S4C. Brown met her husband, Martin Hoyland, the guitarist for 9Bach, in London. They have two children.
Keeping Faith is a Welsh thriller television series, filmed and set in Wales, and first broadcast in Welsh on S4C from 5 November 2017.
