HNoMS Valkyrien has the pennant number A535 and is the present support vessel for the Royal Norwegian Navy Coastal Combat Flotilla. Valkyrien was built as a civilian supply vessel in 1981. She was bought by the RNoN in 1994. Command was assumed on 4 February 1994. The ship has a strengthened hull and meets the requirements of ice breaking class ICE C. The vessel has a displacement of 3,000 tons and a top speed of 16.5 knots (30.6 km/h). The ship also had towing and anchor handling capacities. As a civilian ship she had a crew of 11. Today she has a crew of about 20-25.
HNoMS Valkyrien, HNoMS Valkyrjen has been the name of several ships in the Royal Norwegian Navy. Most of them have been in some way connected to the Royal Norwegian Navy's torpedo boats. HNoMS Valkyrjen was a torpedo boat destroyer of the Royal Norwegian Navy, built at F. Schichau shipyard in Elbing, Germany. The funds for the ship had been raised by the women of Norway and the ship was named Valkyrien in their honour. She was also nicknamed Damernes krigsskib. The ship had its first sea trial on 11 May 1896 and was swiftly approved. She was completed in Horten, Norway, and delivered to the minister of defence in Christiania (Oslo), on 17 May 1896. The ship was opened to the public for two days before sailing back to Horten.

The High Standard HDM is a semiautomatic pistol equipped with an integral suppressor. Based on the High Standard HD model target pistol, it was adopted by the Office of Strategic Services (OSS) during World War II. OSS head Bill Donovan demonstrated the pistol to President Franklin Roosevelt inside the Oval Office. Because of legal concerns during wartime, full-metal-jacketed .22 LR rounds were developed for this pistol.
HDMS Peder Skram was a Peder Skram-class frigate in the Royal Danish Navy which was in use until 1990. It is now docked at Holmen in Copenhagen where it serves as a privately operated museum ship along with the ships of the Royal Danish Naval Museum. The MV Beluga Nomination incident refers to the capture and attempted liberation of a German freighter from Somali pirates by the Seychelles Coast Guard and Royal Danish Navy in January 2011. A few days after the taking of MV Beluga Nomination, a Seychelles patrol boat and a Danish flexible support ship, HDMS Esbern Snare, encountered the pirates and engaged in a failed rescue operation.

Valkyrien was a Danish protected cruiser that was in service of the Royal Danish Navy from 1890 until it was sold for scrap in 1923. It was the largest cruiser in the Danish fleet. The ship was used by Prince Valdemar of Denmark on a nine-month tour of East Asia in 1899 and 1900, visiting China, Japan, Thailand, and India. During World War I, it was a station ship in the Danish West Indies from 1915 to 1917, until the islands were sold by Denmark to the United States.
