Haider Khan is a fashion photographer [1] and a director in the Indian film industry. Khan was the winner of the National Award, India, in the 2022 Sony World Photography Awards. [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] His work was found notable and he was the only Indian to speak at the World Photography Organisation event PHOTO IS:RAEL in Israel. [7] [8]

His directorial debut feature film Rohingya - People from Nowhere [9] [10] was released on 15 November 2021 and has won International Awards. [11]

Documentaries

His documentary film, "LANGUR The Man Monkey," has been selected to compete as an Indian documentary film at the 29th Kolkata International Film Festival. [12] [13]

The documentary on "Black India", also got selected as short documentary / film at the several international film festivals. [14] [15] [16]

Photography

As a photographer he shot the launch campaign of Being Human and Being Strong and has shot cover photographs for magazines including GQ , Filmfare , Stardust , and People , and was the official photographer for events like Femina Miss India , Grasim Mr.India, and Gladrags Megamodel.

The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) is an annual festival based in Melbourne founded in 2010. It was previously funded by Victoria State Government. It is presented by Film Victoria, and the provider is chosen through a tender process. The current tender provider is Mind Blowing Films, run by Mitu Bhowmick Lange who is the Festival Director of IFFM. The festival has currently been provided with State Government funding until 2018. The goal of the film festival is to showcase Indian cinema to the Australian audience. The festival has streamed Bollywood films, Indie movies, documentaries, regional cinema from India etc. It also organizes short film competitions, dance competitions and a flag hoisting ceremony since it is during the time of Indian Independence day celebrations in Melbourne.

Tiger Zinda Hai is a 2017 Indian Hindi-language action thriller film written and directed by Ali Abbas Zafar based on a story by Zafar and Neelesh Misra. It is produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films. The film is a sequel to Ek Tha Tiger (2012) and is the second instalment in the YRF Spy Universe. The film stars Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif reprising their roles from the predecessor. The film takes place after the events of Ek Tha Tiger in which Tiger and Zoya come out of hiding to save nurses held hostage by a terrorist organisation called ISC in Iraq.

Mitu Bhowmick Lange is an Indian-Australian filmmaker, film producer and founder-director of Mind Blowing Films, a film distribution company that focusses on distribution of local content to Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. She is the founder and director of Indian Film Festival of Melbourne, a Victorian government funded annual film festival that started in 2010 and the Victorian Government came on board in 2012. She has also provided line production services for the Hindi films Salaam Namaste (2005), Koi Aap Sa (2005), Chak De India (2007), Bachna Ae Haseeno (2008), Main Aurr Mrs Khanna (2009) and Love Aaj Kal (2009). Lange was awarded Jill Robb Screen Leadership Award for 2017 from Film Victoria. Mitu Bhowmik was appointed as a board of member at WIFT Australia in February 2022. Mitu is also a board member at Film Vic Australia and the part of the committee for Natalie Miller Fellowship (NMF). The 28th Kolkata International Film Festival was held from 15th to 22nd December 2022 at Netaji Indoor Stadium, in Kolkata, India. The festival opened with 1973 film Abhimaan, by Hrishikesh Mukherjee. 183 films including 130 feature films and 52 short and documentary films from 42 countries were screened during 7 days of the festival. The opening ceremony was attended by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukerji, Mahesh Bhatt and cricketer Sourav Ganguly.

The 29th Kolkata International Film Festival began on 5 December 2023 at Netaji Indoor Stadium, in Kolkata, India. A 1963 romantic comedy Bengali film Deya Neya by Sunil Bannerjee opened the festival, which screened 219 films from 39 countries. Spain and Australia were country of focus in this edition of the festival. The opening ceremony was attended by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha, Shatrughan Sinha, Mahesh Bhatt and cricketer Sourav Ganguly among others.
