HammerFall are a Swedish heavy metal band from Gothenburg, Sweden. The band was formed in 1993 by ex-Ceremonial Oath guitarist Oscar Dronjak.
Joacim Cans is the lead singer of HammerFall, a Swedish power metal band. He is the only member aside from founder and guitarist Oscar Dronjak to appear on all of the band's albums.
Renegade is the third studio album by Swedish power metal band HammerFall. It was released on October 9, 2000 on the Nuclear Blast Records label and is the first album to feature drummer Anders Johansson. Former drummer of HammerFall and founder of heavy metal band In Flames Jesper Strömblad still wrote some of the album's songs, even after parting ways with the band in 1997. The album debuted on the Swedish charts at number one and was eventually awarded a gold certification.
Chapter V: Unbent, Unbowed, Unbroken is the fifth studio album by the Swedish metal band HammerFall and was released in 2005 through Nuclear Blast. It features the track "Knights of the 21st Century"; the band's longest studio recording to date at 12 minutes and 20 seconds.

The universe currently consists of two science fiction novels, Hammerfall (2001) and Forge of Heaven (2004). The books were published by HarperCollins under the company's "Eos" imprint. Hammerfall was nominated for the John W. Campbell Memorial Award in 2002.
Threshold is the sixth studio album by the Swedish heavy metal band HammerFall. It was released in 2006 but on different dates for different countries. On October 18 2006 in Sweden then on October 20 in Europe followed by France and the UK on October 23 and finally in the United States on October 31. The album entered the Swedish charts at number one, staying on the chart for eight weeks. This was the band's first No. 1 since Renegade in 2000. It is currently the last HammerFall studio album with the guitarist Stefan Elmgren and the bass guitarist Magnus Rosén, as Rosén left the band in 2007 and Elmgren left in 2008.

"Glory to the Brave" is a song by the Swedish power metal band HammerFall, from the album Glory to the Brave, released as a single on October 20, 1997. On this release there are four songs. One was recorded live, one is a radio edit and two are a bonus track from a previous studio album, which can only be found on special copies.
The band say that the lyrics in this song are a tribute to long lost friends who died too early. "Even though they are not around anymore, they have a place in my heart forever." The dedication to Klas Fors, is to Joacim's grandfather, who died before the recording.
Fredrik Larsson is the current bass guitarist of the Swedish power metal band Hammerfall, which he left in 1997, but rejoined in 2007. He also provides backing vocals with HammerFall.

No Sacrifice, No Victory is the seventh studio album by HammerFall and was released February 20, 2009. It was partly recorded in PAMA Studios in Torsås and partly at King Diamond guitarist, Andy La Rocque's Sonic Train Studios in Varberg. This is the first album featuring the band's new lead guitarist Pontus Norgren and the return of bassist Fredrik Larsson who played bass from 1994 to 1997, as well as the first to have the band tuning all of their guitars in all songs to D tuning as opposed to the E-flat tuning seen on most songs from all previous albums. The album was certified gold in Sweden. The song "My Sharona" was also released as a single, the second single released from this album, and only has one track which has the same name as the song.
To give more exposure to their work and try for a professional recording deal, a short live performance was recorded and sent to the Dutch label, Vic Records. HammerFall soon received a deal and spent the whole of the following year writing the album Glory to the Brave. The album was initially released in the Netherlands and obtained positive feedback; it is also worthy of notice that the band's mascot, the knight Hector, first appeared on the cover of this album.
Infected is the eighth studio album by the band HammerFall and was released on May 20, 2011, in Europe and June 7 of that same year in North America. It was their first album produced by James Michael and the HammerFall guitarists Oscar Dronjak and Pontus Norgren. To promote the record, the song "One More Time" was released as the first official single on April 6, 2011. On April 8, 2011, Nuclear Blast Records released a limited edition picture 7" version of the single "One More Time"; the vinyl was limited to 500 copies. The album entered the Swedish charts at number two.
"One More Time" is a song by the Swedish heavy and power metal band HammerFall released as a single to promote their album Infected. There are two versions that were released – the first one on 6 April 2011 which is only available as a digital download. It features a live recording of "Hallowed Be My Name" and an instrumental version of the single title track. On 8 April a second version was released which featured "Lore of the Arcane/Trailblazers" live and a newly recorded version of "Blood Bound". It was written by vocalist Joacim Cans and guitarist Oscar Dronjak and it is the only HammerFall song in drop C tuning.
Blood Bound is a song by the Swedish Power and Heavy metal band HammerFall, released on January 28, 2005. It was the only single released from their fifth studio album Chapter V: Unbent, Unbowed, Unbroken.
The instrumental/karaoke version on the album was linked with a competition where fans could send their version of "Blood Bound" to Nuclear Blast and win a meet and greet with the members of HammerFall on their shows in April 2005.

(r)Evolution is the ninth studio album by the band HammerFall. It was released on August 27, 2014 in Sweden, August 29 in mainland Europe, September 1 in the UK and September 2 in North America. For the first time since 1998, HammerFall collaborated with Fredrik Nordström on a studio album, and Fredrik is sharing production credits with guitarists Oscar Dronjak and Pontus Norgren. It is also the band's final album to feature drummer Anders Johansson before his departure in September 2014. On 4 September 2014 (r)Evolution went all the way to No. 1 on Sverigetopplistan.
Built to Last is the tenth studio album by power metal band HammerFall and was released on 4 November 2016. It is the first album to feature David Wallin on drums.
