The series centers on Miley Stewart, a teenage girl living a double life as famous pop singer Hannah Montana, an alter ego she adopted so she could maintain her anonymity and live a normal life as a typical teenager. Episodes deal with Miley's everyday struggles to cope with the social and personal issues of adolescence while maintaining the added complexities of her secret identity, which she sustains by wearing a blonde wig. Miley has strong relationships with her brother Jackson and father Robby Ray, as well as her best friends Lilly Truscott and Oliver Oken, who become aware of her secret. Thirteen of its fourteen tracks are performed by the series' primary actress Miley Cyrus, and are credited to her titular character Hannah Montana. One of its actors Mitchel Musso contributes one song, while recording artists David Archuleta and Corbin Bleu appear as featured vocalists. In the vein of earlier soundtracks from the franchise, Hannah Montana 3 is primarily a pop rock record, which sees additional influences from teen pop and country pop musical styles.
The fourth and final season of the television series Hannah Montana began airing on Disney Channel on July 11, 2010. Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus is a double album serving as the soundtrack for the second season of the television series Hannah Montana and the debut studio album by American singer Miley Cyrus. The album was released on June 26, 2007, by Walt Disney Records and Hollywood Records. Both of the albums were reissued on digital platforms as standalone albums in 2021. Both albums were further promoted with Cyrus' first headlining concert tour, the Best of Both Worlds Tour (2007–08). Most of the Meet Miley Cyrus album was produced by Rock Mafia, with further collaborations with Xandy Barry, Matthew Wilder, Scott Cutler and Wendi Foy Green. Cyrus co-wrote eight out of ten tracks on Meet Miley Cyrus.
