Hemne is a former municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. The municipality existed from 1838 until its dissolution in 2020 when it was incorporated into Heim Municipality. It was part of the Fosen region. The administrative centre of the municipality was the village of Kyrksæterøra. Other villages included Heim, Hellandsjøen, Holla, and Vinjeøra. The European route E39 highway passed through the southern part of the municipality.

Kyrksæterøra is the administrative center of Heim Municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. The village was known as the "white town of Hemnfjorden" at one time because there were only white houses. It is located at the end of Hemnfjorden, about 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) southwest of the village of Holla. The villages of Hellandsjøen and Heim both lie to the north and the village of Vinjeøra lies to the south. Hemne Church is located in the village. Norwegian County Road 680 passes through the village. The newspaper Søvesten has been published in Kyrksæterøra since 1994.

Vinjeøra is a village in Heim Municipality, in the Trøndelag county of Norway. The village lies along the European route E39 highway, in particularly at the end of the Vinjefjorden and about 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) south of the municipal center of Kyrksæterøra. The village has a population of almost 300 people and is located about 95 km (59 mi) from the city of Trondheim and about 105 km (65 mi) from the city of Kristiansund.

Heim Church is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Heim Municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located in the village of Heim, on the shore of the Hemnfjorden. It is the church for the Heim parish which is part of the Orkdal prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Nidaros. The white, wooden church was built in a long church style in 1884 using plans drawn up by the architect A.H. Thoresen from Kristiansund. The church seats about 150 people.

Ruten is a mountain in Trøndelag county, Norway. The 1,040-meter (3,410 ft) tall mountain is located on the border Heim Municipality and Rindal Municipality. The mountain stands about 8 kilometers (5.0 mi) southeast of the village of Vinjeøra in Heim Municipality. This is the highest point in Heim Municipality. The mountain has a topographic prominence of 742 meters (2,434 ft) and a topographic isolation of 23.91 kilometers (14.86 mi).
