Sibt al-Maridini, full name Muḥammad ibn Muḥammad ibn Aḥmad Abū ʿAbd Allāh Badr [Shams] al‐Dīnal‐Miṣrī al‐Dimashqī, was an Egyptian-born astronomer and mathematician. His father came from Damascus. The name "Sibt al-Maridini" means "the son of Al-Mardini's daughter". His maternal grandfather, Abdullah al-Maridini, was a reputed astronomer of the eighth century AH. He was a disciple of the astronomer Ibn al-Majdi, according to tradition.

The Al Hidayah Mosque is a mosque located in Section 18, along Jalan Pinang 18/1 in Shah Alam, Petaling District, Selangor, Malaysia. It also houses Tadika Islam Al Hidayah in its compound. The word 'Tadika' means kindergarten in English.

Abu Bakr Rabee Ibn Ahmad Al-Akhawyni Bokhari was a Persian physician and surgeon the author of the Hidayat al-Muta`allemin Fi al-Tibb, the oldest document in the history of Iranian Traditional Medicine (ITM). He lived during the Golden Age of Iranian-Islamic medicine and his book was used as a reference text for medical students long after his death. Al-Akhawyni Bokhari wrote about anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, signs, symptoms, treatment of the disease and surgery of tumors, urine stones, eyes, knee, bones, ... his time. His reputation was based on the treatment of patients with mental illnesses.

The Awdiinle Massacre was a massacre of over three hundred Somali civilians carried out by Ethiopian soldiers in Somalia as part of the African Union Mission to Somalia on Sunday July 17, 2016. The massacre occurred in the village of Awdiinle, 30 km west of Baidoa.

Bidayat al Hidayah was written by Abū Ḥāmid Muḥammad ibn Muḥammad al-Ghazālī during his last days. It is a guidebook describing the principles of getting guidance through taqwa. The manual is concise and arranged in the form of a daily programme. The book contains three sections, which are on the obedience, refraining from disobedience, and the etiquette of companionship with the God and His creation. It serves as a preface to his major texts.
