The Men competition of the high diving events at the 2022 European Aquatics Championships was held on 18, 19 and 20 August 2022. [1]

It marked the first time a men's high diving event was conducted at a LEN European Aquatics Championships. [2] [3] Competition was contested from a 27 metre platform. [4] [5]

Results

The first round was held on 18 August at 18:15. [6] The second round will be held on 19 August at 18:15. The last two rounds were started on 20 August at 18:00. [7]

Gregorio Paltrinieri is an Italian competitive swimmer. Paltrinieri is a former 1500 m freestyle world record holder. He also holds the long course European records in the 800 m and 1500 m freestyle events with times of 7:39.27 and 14:32.80.

Constantin Popovici is a Romanian platform diver. In 2019, he became the first Romanian to achieve a first-place finish at a stop of the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series. He is the 2022 European champion in the 27 metre high dive. He has won multiple medals as part of the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series and he won the bronze medal in the 27 metre high dive event at the Abu Dhabi Aquatics Festival in 2021. For the 10 metre plaftorm event at the 2008 Summer Olympics, he placed twenty-third overall.

Giorgio Minisini is an Italian synchronised swimmer. He won two bronze medals in the inaugural mixed duet competition at the 2015 World Championships. He was world champion at the FINA World Aquatics Championships in the mixed duet technical routine in 2017 and 2022 and the mixed duet free routine in 2022. In 2022, he became the first male artistic swimmer to win a gold medal at a LEN European Aquatics Championships in a men's solo event, winning the gold medal in the solo technical routine.

Simona Quadarella Italian swimmer

Simona Quadarella is an Italian swimmer. She specializes in long distance freestyle events. At the 2020 Summer Olympics, she won a bronze medal in Women's 800 metre freestyle, and at the 2019 World Championships in Gwangju, won the gold medal in the 1500 m freestyle, and the silver medal in the 800 m freestyle.

Alessandro Miressi is an Italian swimmer. He competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics, in Men's 4 × 100 metre freestyle relay, winning a silver medal, and in Men's 4 × 100 metre medley relay, winning a bronze medal.

Thomas Ceccon is an Italian swimmer. He is the world record holder in the long course 100 metre backstroke. He competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics, in Men's 4 × 100 metre freestyle relay, winning a silver medal, and Men's 4 × 100 metre medley relay winning a bronze medal.

The Abu Dhabi Aquatics Festival was a FINA-organized international aquatics competition spanning the disciplines of open water swimming, diving, and high diving, which took place from 15 to 20 December 2021 on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. It was held correspondent to the 2021 FINA World Short Course Swimming Championships. The festival was the first time competitions in the three disciplines are being conducted at the same time as and in conjunction with a FINA World Short Course Swimming Championships. In addition to sporting competitions, an interactive village is being provided for festival attendees. Coverage of the aquatics festival on television and via online streaming was provided on six continents with news agencies including ESPN (Americas), SuperSport (Africa), and beIN Sports (Asia) providing international coverage of the high diving competitions.

Aidan Heslop is a British diver and high diver who competes internationally representing Wales and Great Britain. At the 2018 Commonwealth Games he competed representing Wales, finishing 6th in the 10 metre platform and 12th in the 3 metre springboard. In 2021, he won the gold medal in the 27 metre high dive at the Abu Dhabi Aquatics Festival representing Great Britain, performing the highest difficulty dive, a 6.2 degree of difficulty, in history.

Lorenzo Galossi is an Italian competitive swimmer. He is the world junior record and European junior record holder in the long course 800-metre freestyle and the European junior record holder in the long course 400-metre freestyle. At the 2022 European Junior Swimming Championships, he won medals in three individual events, the gold medal each in the 400-metre freestyle and the 800-metre freestyle and the silver medal in the 200-metre freestyle. At the 2022 European Aquatics Championships, he won the bronze medal in the 800-metre freestyle.

Dávid Betlehem is a Hungarian competitive pool and open water swimmer. At the 2020 European Aquatics Championships, he won a bronze medal in the 5 kilometre open water team relay. He won the silver medal in the 1500-metre freestyle at the 2021 European Junior Swimming Championships. At the 2022 World Aquatics Championships, he won a silver medal in the open water 4×1500-metre team relay.

Kyle Kothari is an English diver representing Great Britain and England in competition. At the 2022 Commonwealth Games, he won a silver medal in the 10 metre mixed synchronised platform, and placed fourth in the 10 metre synchronised platform. He is a 2022 European champion in the 10 metre mixed synchronised platform with Lois Toulson and in the 10 metre synchronised platform with Ben Cutmore.

The Women competition of the high diving events at the 2022 European Aquatics Championships was held on 18 and 19 August 2022.

Cătălin-Petru Preda is a Romanian diver and high diver. He was the first man to win a silver medal in a high diving event at a LEN European Aquatics Championships, winning the silver medal in the 27 metre high dive at the 2022 European Aquatics Championships. He formerly served as a judge on reality television show Splash! Vedete la Apă.
