The Kensington Runestone is a 202-pound (92 kg) slab of greywacke stone covered in runes that was allegedly discovered in central Minnesota in 1898. Olof Öhman, a Swedish immigrant, reported that he unearthed it from a field in the largely rural township of Solem in Douglas County. It was later named after the nearest settlement, Kensington.

It is served by the Market–Frankford Line rapid transit subway/elevated line of the SEPTA system. Kensington District, or The Kensington District of the Northern Liberties, was one of the twenty-nine municipalities that formed Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania prior to the enactment of the Act of Consolidation, 1854, when it became incorporated into the newly expanded City of Philadelphia. The district was roughly bounded by Lehigh Avenue to the north; Germantown Avenue and 6th Street to the west; Cohocksink Creek to the south; and an L-shaped line formed by Frankford Avenue, Norris Street, and York Street at its northeast. The Delaware River was the eastern boundary. Today the area would include the Philadelphia neighborhoods of Olde Kensington, West Kensington and Fishtown, as well as portions of the neighborhoods of Ludlow, Hartranft, Fairhill, Northern Liberties and the current Kensington. The District of Kensington was a self-governing district between the years 1820 and 1854.

She is a faculty senior scientist in the Nuclear Science Division of Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and a professor in the graduate school at UC Berkeley. In acknowledgment of her many achievements, Discover Magazine recognized her in 2002 as one of the 50 most important women in science.

Victoria Road is a street in Kensington, London, that in 2015 was considered the most expensive street in the United Kingdom. The street runs north to south from Kensington Road, Kensington High Street in close proximity to Kensington Palace and the Royal Albert Hall. Victoria Road actually runs from Kensington Road and not from Kensington High Street as cited previously. There are 64 properties on the street including the Embassy of Vietnam.
Anthony Breznican is an American journalist and novelist who writes for Vanity Fair. He is a former senior staff writer for Entertainment Weekly, has also reported for USA Today and the Associated Press, and has written notably about Philip Seymour Hoffman and Fred Rogers of Mister Rogers' Neighborhood, among other topics. His first novel, Brutal Youth, was published by the Thomas Dunne imprint of St. Martin's Press in June 2014. Reviewing the novel for Library Journal, Jan Blodgett said "Breznican captures a perfect balance of horror, heartbreak, and resilience" in his depiction of a Catholic high school fraught with hazing. In USA Today Kevin Nance called it a "bluntly effective debut novel" and "crackling good entertainment."
