The Toronto Maple Leafs, officially the Toronto Maple Leaf Hockey Club and often simply referred to as the Leafs, are a professional ice hockey team based in Toronto. They compete in the National Hockey League (NHL) as a member of the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference. The club is owned by Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment, Ltd. and are represented by Chairman Larry Tanenbaum. The Maple Leafs' broadcasting rights are split between BCE Inc. and Rogers Communications. For their first 14 seasons, the club played their home games at the Mutual Street Arena, before moving to Maple Leaf Gardens in 1931. The Maple Leafs moved to their present home, Scotiabank Arena in February 1999.

The Toronto Native Sons were a junior ice hockey team in the Ontario Hockey Association from 1933 until 1942. They played at Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto, Ontario. Prior to moving up to the OHA, the team played in the "Toronto Junior Hockey League." Coached by Harold Cotton, the Native Sons were league finalists in 1938-39 for the J. Ross Robertson Cup, losing in three games to the Oshawa Generals. George Joseph Thompson played in the Natives Sons and his son, Holly Robert Thompson, and fellow Parkdale Collegiate athletes such as the late Ron Matsyuama, carried on the Native Sons tradition with the Old Timers league. They played in California at the Snoopy World Hockey Tournament.
The Gibson Nighthawk was a family of electric guitars manufactured by Gibson. Introduced in 1993, the Nighthawk represented a radical change from traditional Gibson designs.
