Hugenholtz is a Dutch-German patrician family.
The family starts with Petrus Bernardus Hugenholtz, teacher at the Latin school in Wetter (Ruhr) who died in 1736. His grandson, the reverend Petrus Hermannus Hugenholtz (1728-1766) moved to the Netherlands.

Desulfovibrionales are a taxonomic order of bacteria belonging to the phylum Thermodesulfobacteriota, with four families. They are Gram-negative. Petrus Steyn, is a small farming town between Tweeling and Kroonstad, 35 km north-east of Lindley in the Free State province of South Africa.
