Carmen Tanase is a Romanian actress. After graduating The Drama and Film Institute from Bucharest, in 1984, she joined the company of "Vasile Alecsandri" National Theatre in Iaşi and then moved back to the capital city of Romania. Since 1990, she is a member of the Odeon Theatre company from Bucharest. As a student, she played in Dostoevsky's The Possessed, in John Steinbeck's Sweet Thursday, in Butterflies, Butterflies by the Italian playwright Aldo Nicolaj etc. Following the fall of the Romanian communist regime, in 1989, she also involved herself in the independent artistic movements that flourished after these events. She toured the world with Radu Duda, the two of them playing in A Report to an Academy, the adaptation of a short story by Franz Kafka, directed by Cristina Iovita.
Telegrame is a 1959 Romanian comedy film directed by Aurel Miheleș and Gheorghe Naghi and starring Grigore Vasiliu Birlic. The film, based on the eponymous sketch by Ion Luca Caragiale, premiered in Romania on 1 March 1960. It was entered into the 1960 Cannes Film Festival.
The Gopo Awards are the national Romanian film awards, similar to the Academy Awards (US), the Goya Awards (Spain), or the César Award (France). They are presented by the Association for Romanian Film Promotion and were inaugurated in 2007.
Răscoala is a 1965 Romanian drama film directed by Mircea Mureșan based on a novel by Liviu Rebreanu about the Romanian peasant uprising of 1907. Mureșan won the prize for Best First Work at the 1966 Cannes Film Festival. It was the first Romanian film to be submitted to the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. However, it failed to be nominated.

The competition was hosted by Romanian fashion designer Cătălin Botezatu making him the fifth male host of the Next Top Model franchise. The rest of the panel was composed of photographer Gabriel Hennessey, make-up artist Mirela Vascan, hair stylist Laurent Tourette and model agent Liviu Ionescu. The winner of the competition was 16 year-old Emma Dumitrescu from Bucharest. The international destinations for this season were Giza, Rovaniemi, Dubai, and Paris.

It was screened in the Contemporary World Cinema section at the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival. Luminița Gheorghiu was nominated as the Best Actress at the 26th European Film Awards and the film won the Telia Film Award at the Stockholm International Film Festival 2013. The film was selected as the Romanian entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 86th Academy Awards, but it was not nominated.
