Imagen is a Spanish language monthly women's fashion magazine published in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Imagen was founded in 1986. [1] The magazine is printed monthly by Casiano Communications. [1] The headquarters is in San Juan. [1] It is Puerto Rico's leading fashion magazine geared to women. [2] Some celebrities that have graced its cover in recent years include Carlos Arroyo, Denise Quiñones, and Cynthia Olavarría to name a few. The current editor-in-chief is Annette Oliveras Camacho.

On May 30, 2007, a Central Florida edition of the magazine was launched to cater to growing Puerto Rican population in that region of state. [3] With offices in Orlando, Florida, this new edition is expected to grow significantly in their readership numbers in upcoming years. The current editor-in-chief of this edition is María Isabel Sanquírico.

Juan Ponce de León was a Spanish explorer and conquistador known for leading the first official European expedition to Florida and for serving as the first governor of Puerto Rico. He was born in Santervás de Campos, Valladolid, Spain in 1474. Though little is known about his family, he was of noble birth and served in the Spanish military from a young age. He first came to the Americas as a "gentleman volunteer" with Christopher Columbus's second expedition in 1493.

El Vocero de Puerto Rico is a Puerto Rican free newspaper that is published in San Juan. Published since 1974, El Vocero was at first the third of the four largest Puerto Rico newspapers, trailing El Mundo and El Nuevo Día and leading El Reportero and The San Juan Star in sales. With the temporary demise in the late 1980s of El Mundo, El Vocero became even more popular, becoming the island's largest newspaper by 1994. The original company was founded in 1973, by Manuel A. Casiano, who died on May 19, 2017, at the age of 86. Casiano Communications started out publishing a business and financial newsletter on Puerto Rico which evolved over 45 years into the largest English speaking weekly paper Caribbean Business. Carlos Federico Yunqué González, more commonly known as Fiquito Yunqué, is a fictional character who formerly wrote a weekly humor column for the Puerto Rican weekly newspaper Claridad titled "Me Mudo a La Esquizofrenia" for close to two years (2007–2009). "Me Mudo" has been published as a blog since February 1, 2009 on Blogger. The column has developed a cult following among Claridad readers, with fans in the United States, Spain, Colombia, Argentina, Mexico and Chile.

Jenilca Franchesca Giusti is a Puerto Rican singer, songwriter and actress commonly known as Jenilca. Jenilca is a participant of the third season of Objetivo Fama and principal actress in the Broadway musicals Fame and Grease, which were presented at the CBA Luis A. Ferré in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Melanie Figueroa Solis is a Puerto Rican singer, actress and model and a contestant of the third season of Objetivo Fama and one of the leading actresses in the Broadway revival musical Grease: El Musical de tu Vida, which was presented at the Centro de Bellas Artes Luis A. Ferre in San Juan, Puerto Rico; here at the CBA, Figueroa had a special participation, singing in the revival musical Hairspray: El Musical, at its world premiere in Spanish.

Mu Alpha Phi First Puerto Rican sorority

Mu Alpha Phi (ΜΑΦ) is a sorority established in Puerto Rico on October 24, 1927. It is considered to be the first Puerto Rican sorority founded in the island. The sorority has Alumni and University chapters across the Island and an Alumni chapter in Orlando, FL.
