The European Democrats were a loose association of conservative political parties in Europe. It was a political group in the European Parliament from 1979 until 1992, when it became a subgroup of the European People's Party–European Democrats (EPP-ED) group. The European Democrats continued to exist as a political group in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) until 2014, when it became the European Conservatives Group.
The Alliance Party of Northern Ireland (APNI) is a liberal and centrist political party in Northern Ireland. It was long Northern Ireland's fifth-largest party, currently holding eight seats in the Northern Ireland Assembly, but made breakthroughs in recent elections to place third in first preference votes in both the 2019 European Parliament election and the 2019 UK general election. The party won one of the three Northern Ireland seats in the European Parliament, and one seat, North Down, in the House of Commons.

The Independent Alliance was an Irish political grouping formed in March 2015 by independent politicians. It was founded by Shane Ross and Michael Fitzmaurice. It is not a political party, and has stated that it will not impose any whip on elected members, except where the group has agreed to support a government on confidence motions. Following the 2016 general election their members became part of a minority government with Fine Gael and other non-aligned Independent ministers.
Solidarity–People Before Profit is an electoral alliance in Ireland. It was formed by members of two left-wing socialist political parties: Solidarity and People Before Profit (PBP). Solidarity was known as the "Anti-Austerity Alliance" (AAA) until 2017. Since September 2019, the alliance also includes the RISE party founded by Paul Murphy. The alliance was formed in 2015 and replaced AAA and PBP in Ireland's official register of political parties. However, each entity retains its separate organisation and identity. PBP also retains its own registration in Northern Ireland. The alliance was created with the intent to obtain more speaking rights for its constituent members in Dáil Éireann after the 2016 Irish general election.
The Human Dignity Alliance is a minor political party in Ireland. It was officially founded on 29 June 2018 by Senator Rónán Mullen.
