The International Association for Life-Cycle Civil Engineering (or IALCCE) is an international organization founded in October 2006. [1] Its declared mission is "to become the premier international organization for the advancement of the state-of-the-art in the field of life-cycle civil engineering ". [2]
IALCCE has organized its First International Symposium in 2008 in Varenna, Lake Como, Italy (IALCCE'08 [3] ), and the Second International Symposium in 2010 in Taipei, Taiwan (IALCCE2010 [4] ). The Third International Symposium will be held in 2012 in Vienna, Austria (IALCCE2012 [5] ).
Moreover, IALCCE has sponsored several events organized by other associations. [6]
The proceedings of the First International Symposium on Life-Cycle Civil Engineering (IALCCE’08) were published by CRC Press, Taylor & Francis Group, as a set comprising a hardbound book of full papers and a CD-ROM. The proceedings of the Second International Symposium on Life-Cycle Civil Engineering (IALCCE2010) were published by Taiwan University of Science & Technology (Taiwan Tech) as a set comprising a hardbound book of abstracts and a CD-ROM of full papers.
Extended versions of selected papers included in the proceedings of IALCCE'08 were published in a Special Issue of the international peer-reviewed journal Structure and Infrastructure Engineering (Taylor & Francis).

A conurbation is a region comprising a number of metropolises, cities, large towns, and other urban areas which, through population growth and physical expansion, have merged to form one continuous urban or industrially developed area. In most cases, a conurbation is a polycentric urbanised area in which transportation has developed to link areas. They create a single urban labour market or travel to work area.

The Itaba massacre was, according to Amnesty International, the "massacre of between 173 and 267 unarmed civilians, many of them women, children and the elderly, who were deliberately and unlawfully killed in the Commune of Itaba, Gitega Province, Burundi on 9 September 2002". The Massachusetts Archives is the state archive of Massachusetts. It "serves the Commonwealth and its citizens by preserving and making accessible the records documenting government action and by assisting government agencies in managing their permanent records." The archives occupies quarters on the Columbia Point peninsula in Boston's Dorchester neighborhood on the University of Massachusetts Boston campus. For fiscal year 2010 the state budgeted $389,815 to the archives. The Massachusetts Secretary of the Commonwealth bears responsibility for its administration.
Lahore features a five-season semi-arid climate, bordering a humid subtropical climate, with five seasons: foggy winter with few western disturbances causing rain; pleasant spring ; summer with dust, rain storms and heat wave periods; rainy monsoon ; and dry autumn. However, in some cases, it can be classified as being humid subtropical (Cwa), rather than semi-arid, since it has well defined seasons and an ample amount of rain. It occasionally has very prolonged and dense monsoons, typical of a humid subtropical climate.

He served as the Minister of State for Administrative Development in the cabinets of Essam Sharaf and Kamal Ganzouri from March 2011 to August 2012. Chants de Terre et de Ciel is a song cycle in six movements for soprano and piano by Olivier Messiaen, on text by the composer himself. It was composed in 1938 and premiered at the Société Triton's Concerts du Triton, at the Ecole Normale de Musique in Paris on the 23 January 1939 with Marcelle Bunlet as the soprano and the composer at the piano. The cycle is deeply personal and reflects Messiaen's joy at the birth of his son Pascal in 1937, as well as his deep Catholicism.
