International MTM Directorate

The International MTM Directorate (IMD) is a Federation of National Methods-Time Measurement Associations. It was originally constituted in Paris on June 25, 1957, and was then reincorporated under the laws of Ohio on November 6, 1968. Membership in the International MTM Directorate is held by National associations acknowledged by IMD as representing MTM activities in their respective countries.

The general objective of the IMD and the National MTM Associations is to develop, spread and employ knowledge concerning man at work so as to improve his productivity, his job satisfaction and his working conditions. More specifically, the objectives of the IMD are to encourage close cooperation among all those interested in the study of man at work whether it is in research, training or field of application.

It published the MTM Journal of Methods-time Measurement.

Methods-Time Measurement (MTM) is a predetermined motion time system that is used primarily in industrial settings to analyze the methods used to perform any manual operation or task and, as a product of that analysis, to set the standard time in which a worker should complete that task.

Made-to-measure (MTM) typically refers to custom clothing that is cut and sewn using a standard-sized base pattern. Suits and sport coats are the most common garments made-to-measure. The fit of a made-to-measure garment is expected to be superior to that of a ready-to-wear garment because made-to-measure garments are constructed to fit each customer individually based on a few body measurements to customize the pre-existing pattern. Made-to-measure garments always involve some form of standardization in the pattern and manufacturing, whereas bespoke tailoring is entirely made from scratch based on a customer's specifications with far more attention to minute fit details and using multiple fittings during the construction process. Centre for Educational Measurement at the University of Oslo (CEMO) is a part of the Faculty of Educational Sciences at the University of Oslo. The establishment of the centre was initiated by the Ministry of Education and Research in 2013. Center for Life Detection Institute dedicated to the scientific search of extraterrestrial life

The Center for Life Detection (CLD) is a collaboration among scientists and technologists from NASA’s Ames Research Center and Goddard Spaceflight Center, which formed in 2018 to support the planning and implementation of missions that will seek evidence of life beyond Earth. CLD is supported by NASA’s Planetary Science Division and is one of three core teams in the Network for Life Detection. CLD’s perspectives on life detection science and technology development are summarized in “Groundwork for Life Detection”, a white paper submitted to and cited in the 2023-2032 Planetary Science and Astrobiology Decadal Survey.
