Nicholas Rodney Drake was an English singer-songwriter and musician known for his acoustic guitar-based songs. He failed to find a wide audience during his lifetime, but his work has gradually achieved wider notice and recognition. Drake signed to Island Records when he was 20 years old and a student at the University of Cambridge. He released his debut album, Five Leaves Left, in 1969. There is no known video footage of the adult Drake; he was only ever captured in still photographs and in home footage from his childhood.

Shriekback are an English rock band formed in 1981 in Kentish Town by Barry Andrews, formerly of XTC and the League of Gentlemen (keyboards/synthesizers/vocals), and Dave Allen, formerly of the Gang of Four (bass), with Carl Marsh, formerly of Out On Blue Six (guitars/vocals) soon added to the line-up. Now composing and writing their own songs, Cimorelli is made up of five sisters: Christina, Katherine, Lisa, Amy, and Lauren; their older brother, Mike Jr., was a member of the group from 2007 to 2008, while youngest sister Dani was a member from 2010 to 2020. The soundtrack features music from the whole career of Bob Marley, his first recorded song, "Judge Not", to the last album he released in his lifetime, "Uprising". Marley was released to coincide with the release of Marley, a biographical film documenting the life of Bob Marley. The album features 24 of the 66 tracks used in the film.
