Ivan Yuen is a Canadian entrepreneur and software engineer, best known as the co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer of Wattpad, a global online storytelling platform. [1] [2]

Early Life and Education

Yuen studied computer engineering at the University of Waterloo, where he participated in the co-op program. [3] During his time at university, he gained experience in hardware and software engineering through internships at companies such as IBM and AMD. [3]

Personal Life

Yuen is based in Canada and continues to mentor emerging talent while investing in early-stage companies through his involvement with Elder Ventures. [4] [5]

Career

Yuen began his career in hardware design before transitioning to software engineering. In 2006, he co-founded Wattpad with Allen Lau.
