The 2011 season of the astronomy TV show Jack Horkheimer: Star Gazer started on January 3, 2011, with guest host Dean Regas of the Cincinnati Observatory. [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] [8] [9] [10] [11] [12] This is the first full season after Jack Horkheimer's death. The series tried out new hosts and settled on Dean Regas and James Albury to be co-hosts on the show. [13] On October 3, 2011, the title of the series was changed to Star Gazers . The show's name change was accompanied by the launch of a new Star Gazers website for the series; while, the older Jack Horkheimer: Star Gazer website continued to be maintained and updated as well.

Star Gazers is a short astronomy show on American public television previously hosted by Jack Horkheimer, executive director of the Miami Space Transit Planetarium. After his death in 2010, a series of guest astronomers hosted until 2011, when Dean Regas, James Albury, and Marlene Hidalgo became permanent co-hosts. In 2019, Dean Regas and James Albury stepped down from the program and were replaced by Trace Dominguez. On the weekly program, the host informs the viewer of significant astronomical events for the upcoming week, including key constellations, stars and planets, lunar eclipses and conjunctions, as well as historical and scientific information about these events.
The 1996 season of the astronomy TV show Jack Horkheimer: Star Hustler starring Jack Horkheimer started on January 1, 1996. During this season, the show still had its original name, Jack Horkheimer: Star Hustler.
