Jack Kelly (born January 2, 2003) is an American football linebacker for the BYU Cougars. He previously played for the Weber State Wildcats.

Early life

Kelly attended Kearns High School in Kearns, Utah. During his high school career he had 59 tackles with 4.5 sacks and two interceptions on defense and 66 receptions for 1,299 yards and 13 touchdowns on offense. [1] He committed to Weber State University to play college football.

College career

After playing in four games his true freshman year at Weber State in 2021, Kelly played in all 13 games and had 28 tackles and six sacks in 2022. As a sophomore in 2023, he had 56 tackles and led the Big Sky Conference with 10.5 sacks. [2] [3] Kelly entered the transfer portal after the season and transferred to Brigham Young University (BYU). The 2007 BYU Cougars football team represented Brigham Young University (BYU) in the 2007 NCAA Division I FBS football season. BYU clinched its second consecutive Mountain West Conference (MWC) championship title outright after defeating Utah on November 24. It was BYU's second consecutive, undefeated season in the MWC, its fourth MWC championship since the league began in 1999, and its 23rd conference title. At the beginning of the season the Cougars had won an MWC record 16 straight league games dating back to 2005 and were on a ten-game overall winning streak, the longest winning streak in the country at the time.
