Jack Lawson is a fictional character from Australia's police series, Blue Heelers. He came into the show in 1999 and was taken off in 2001, his character arrested for murder. [1]
Jack arrived in Mount Thomas with his horse Matilda, who appeared frequently on the show. Jack was riding in the bush when he discovered the body of fellow police member Constable Greg Mason. Jack was 19 when he first arrived in Mount Thomas and was still completing his policing degree.
Jack left his girlfriend Molly behind in his hometown, the young lovers having promised each other to wait to consummate their relationship until marriage. But when she visited him in Mount Thomas, she revealed having had an affair with Jack's cousin, and he broke off their relationship. In episode 250, "Under Fire", Molly was impaled during a bus accident. After her death, Jack admitted that he had lied to her about his feelings.
During his time on the show, Jack was on the Mount Thomas footy team, the Mudlarks. One of his detailed story lines involves his friendship with teammates Matty and Scotty. Matty was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer, and Scotty went to jail for manslaughter of another teammate. Matty married his girlfriend Lettie, who gave birth to his son, Matty Jr, before he died. Jack eventually fell in love with Lettie. He lost his virginity to her and moved into her house. The relationship fell apart when Scotty was released from prison, and Lettie realised she was in love with him 'in a different way'.
Jack was shot by a 'mate' after about a year in Mount Thomas, when he tried to get his friend to turn himself in over a drug deal. The bullet lodged too close to his spinal cord to operate, leaving Jack in a wheelchair for some months. Jack was very depressed during this time and sold his horse Matilda to a passing rodeo. After a suspect in a wheelchair was convicted of burglary, and Inspector Falcon-Price ordered Jack to be put on restricted duties at St. Davids, Jack convinced his specialist to operate, despite being given only a 5% chance of success. At the beginning of season 8 it’s revealed that the operation was a success, and Jack was able to walk again.
The shooting left Jack with a lot of resentment towards people who dealt with drugs. He let an innocent man fall to his death. Lawson is best remembered as a kind hearted copper; however, his tendency to constantly overheat soon became his downfall. He is the 12th-longest serving character behind Tom Croydon, Chris Riley, P.J. Hasham, Maggie Doyle, Ben Stewart, Nick Schultz, Jo Parrish, Evan Jones, Adam Cooper and Dash McKinley

Scott "Scotty" Baldwin is a fictional character from the ABC soap opera General Hospital and its now-defunct spinoff Port Charles. The character debuted played by child actors in the 1960s until Kin Shriner assumed the role in 1977. Scotty is often remembered as part of the love triangle with Luke and Laura Spencer; when Scott's wife Laura Webber left him for Luke Spencer, his devastation led to a drastic personality change, and the character became one of General Hospital's long-running villains. However, on Port Charles, the character was portrayed in a more heroic sense.

A feisty young constable from a policing family, Maggie arrived in Mount Thomas during the first episode, which follows her as she meets each of her colleagues in turn. The first female constable to join the station, she is faced with the prospect of not only learning how policing is a little bit different in a country town, but also with overcoming the chauvinism of some of the locals, and of some of her colleagues. She remained with the show for exactly half of its run, departing during the second episode of the seventh season, and was the fifth-longest serving character, appearing in 250 of the 510 episodes to air.
Thomas Arthur "Tom" Croydon is a fictional character in the long-running Australian police drama Blue Heelers, portrayed by John Wood. A long-serving member of the police force, Tom has decades of experience of being a police officer in a small country town, and an attitude which earns him the respect, trust and even affection of his subordinates. As the most senior officer in the country town of Mount Thomas, he frequently acts as a mentor and father figure to the junior members of the station, but eventually a series of personal tragedies put him into a downward spiral which threatens both his personal and professional lives. He is one of two characters, along with Chris Riley, to appear in all thirteen seasons of the show, and is the only character to appear in all 510 episodes to air.
Adam Bryce Cooper is a fictional character from the Australian police drama series Blue Heelers, played by Damian Walshe-Howling. He made his debut in the first season episode "Labour of Love", broadcast on 6 June 1994. Adam is a police constable transferred to Mount Thomas as his first station straight from the police academy at age 19. He takes Roz Patterson's place when she is dismissed from her employment as the station's administration officer for accessing confidential police records. Adam is a bright spark of an officer with plenty of potential and plenty of questions. He is very young for a police officer and appears slightly immature at times though he has a good heart and a love for his job.
Patrick Joseph "P. J." Hasham is a fictional character in the long-running Australian police drama Blue Heelers, portrayed by Martin Sacks. An experienced detective, P. J. served on major task forces and crime squads in Melbourne before the gaming squad he was attached to was disbanded due to corruption and he was transferred to the small country town of Mount Thomas as the only criminal investigator at the local station. Despite his stated preference for staying out of "uniformed matters", he worked far closer with his uniformed colleagues than many visiting detectives, and also preferred to dress down compared to the business dress usually favoured by other detectives. He was the last member of the original cast to leave the show, doing so midway through the twelfth season, and was the third-longest serving character, appearing in 483 of the 510 episodes to air.
Tess Gallagher is a fictional character from the Australian police procedural television series Blue Heelers, portrayed by Caroline Craig. She made her debut in the seventh series episode "On the Road", broadcast on 24 May 2000.
Jo Parrish is a fictional character from the Australian television police drama Blue Heelers, played by Jane Allsop. She made her first appearance during the sixth season episode "Hello Goodbye", broadcast on 18 August 1999. The character left in the eleventh season on 6 July 2004, after being killed in an explosion. She was the seventh longest serving character behind Tom Croydon, Chris Riley, P.J. Hasham, Ben Stewart, Maggie Doyle and Nick Schultz
Jackie Dobbs is a fictional character from the British ITV soap opera Coronation Street played by Margi Clarke. She was introduced in 1998, but written out in 1999 due to the personal problems of the actress who played her. Nine years later, in 2008, the character was reintroduced, once again played by Clarke, who initially signed a two-month contract. Jackie continued to make sporadic appearances until March 2010.
How Do You Know is a 2010 American romantic comedy film directed, written and produced by James L. Brooks, and starring Reese Witherspoon, Owen Wilson, Paul Rudd and Jack Nicholson in his final film role to date. It was the third film to feature Witherspoon and Rudd following Overnight Delivery and Monsters vs. Aliens. The plot follows softball player Lisa (Witherspoon), who is caught in a love triangle between two men—the charming baseball player Matty (Wilson) and George (Rudd), a businessman who is charged for stock fraud.
Georgia Brooks is a fictional character from the Australian soap opera Neighbours, played by Saskia Hampele. The actress was travelling through Kakadu with her boyfriend when she received a call from her agent about a regular role on Neighbours. Hampele was then asked to film an audition for the show and she said that she could not turn down the opportunity to play Georgia. She also believed that she was meant to get the part because the character was originally called Daisy, a nickname her boyfriend and friends call her. Hampele made her first screen appearance as Georgia during the episode broadcast on 5 October 2012. Hampele decided to leave the show in 2015 to pursue new acting opportunities, and Georgia made her departure in May of that year. She later returned for guest appearances in August 2015 and April 2016.
