Jack Louis Nix (born Niksch; [1] May 7, 1928) is an American former professional football player who was both an offensive and defensive end in the National Football League (NFL) and Canadian Football League (CFL).
Nix was born in Gary, Indiana. He attended Susan Miller Dorsey High School in the Crenshaw District of Los Angeles, California, and played college football at the University of Southern California. [2]
Nix was selected by the San Francisco 49ers in the 20th round of the 1950 NFL draft. [2] He spent one season with the 49ers, appearing in nine games. [2] He then joined the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the CFL. Nix played a key role in the Roughriders 1951 season which culminated in going to the CFL’s Championship Game, the Grey Cup.
Jonathan Robert Ryan is a Canadian former professional football player who was a punter in the Canadian Football League (CFL) and National Football League (NFL). He played university football for the Regina Rams, and began his professional career in the CFL with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers after being selected in the 2004 CFL Draft. He also played in the NFL for the Green Bay Packers and was a member of the Seattle Seahawks for ten seasons.
