Jack Pyburn is an American football defensive end for the LSU Tigers. He previously played for the Florida Gators.
Pyburn attended high school at The Bolles School. Coming out of high school, he was rated as a three-star recruit, the 36th overall defensive end, and the 441st overall player in the class of 2022, where he committed to play college football for the Florida Gators. [1]
During his freshman season in 2022, Pyburn recorded three tackles. [2] His 2023 season was cut short after nine games due to a season ending ACL injury, where he totaled 17 tackles with one for a loss on the season. [3] [4] In week four of the 2024 season, Pyburn totaled six tackles with one going for a loss in a win over Mississippi State. [5] In week twelve, he recorded eight tackles in a victory over LSU. [6] Pyburn finished the 2024 season, notching 60 tackles with four being for a loss, a sack, a forced fumble, and an interception. [7] After the conclusion of the 2024 season, he decided to enter his name into the NCAA transfer portal. [8]
Pyburn transferred to play for the LSU Tigers. [9] He entered the 2025 season, as a starter on the Tigers defensive line. [10] [11] For his performance during the 2025 season, Pyburn accepted an invite to participate in the 2026 Senior Bowl. [12]
