James B. Culbertson (born May 27, 1938) served as the United States Ambassador to the Netherlands until 2009. Appointed by President George W. Bush, Culbertson was commissioned as ambassador on July 10, 2008. He presented his credentials to Queen Beatrix on August 13, 2008.
Culbertson was born in Goldsboro, North Carolina, on May 27, 1938. In 1960, he graduated from The Citadel with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science. After graduation he served as an Intelligence officer for the U.S. Army from 1960 to 1962.

In 1974, he founded Financial Computing and served as CEO, until his retirement in 2000. Culbertson served on the North Carolina Banking Commission from 1973 to 1979. He also served on the North Carolina Board of Economic Development from 1985 to 1993. From 1988 to 1993, Culbertson was a member of the National Federation of Independent Businessmen. Additionally, He has been a member of the Fund for American Studies Board of Trustees, since 1988, as well as a member of the American Battle Monuments Commission, since 2005.
Culbertson first visited the Netherlands in 1970, as a member of The American Council of Young Political Leaders, serving as a board member from 1973 to 1979.
Culbertson has been an active member of the American Republican Party for many years, acting as a fundraiser in the state of North Carolina. He has served on a number of State and National committees. In 2000, Culbertson was the Co-Chairman for the North Carolina Campaign for George W. Bush's presidency. In 2005, he was one of eight Co-Chairs for President Bush's Inauguration.
Culbertson's family consists of his wife, a daughter, and two grandsons.
Lawrence Sidney Eagleburger was an American statesman and career diplomat, who served briefly as the secretary of state under President George H. W. Bush from December 1992 to January 1993, one of the shortest terms in modern history. Previously, he had served in lesser capacities under Presidents Richard Nixon, Jimmy Carter, and Ronald Reagan, and as deputy secretary of state to James Baker under George H. W. Bush. Eagleburger is the only career Foreign Service Officer to have served as secretary of state. He was also Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense from January to May 1973. As a career member of the United States Senior Foreign Service, he attained the rank of Career Ambassador on April 12, 1984.
Howard Henry Baker Jr. was an American politician, diplomat and photographer who served as a United States Senator from Tennessee from 1967 to 1985. During his tenure, he rose to the rank of Senate Minority Leader and then Senate Majority Leader. A member of the Republican Party, Baker was the first Republican to be elected to the U.S. Senate in Tennessee since the Reconstruction era.

She previously served as United States Ambassador to Egypt until 2013 and as United States Ambassador to Pakistan from July 2007 to October 2010.
Otto Juan Reich is an American diplomat and lobbyist who worked in the administrations of Presidents Ronald Reagan, George H. W. Bush, and George W. Bush. Reich was born in Cuba; his family moved to North Carolina when he was fifteen. He graduated from University of North Carolina in 1966, and after a two-year stint in the US Army, received a master's degree from Georgetown University in 1973. After graduating, Reich worked for the state and federal governments in Florida and Washington, D.C.
David Horton Wilkins is an American attorney and a former United States Ambassador to Canada during the administration of President George W. Bush. Prior to the appointment, he practiced law for 30 years while serving in the South Carolina House of Representatives for 25 of those years. He was speaker of the South Carolina House for 11 years. Wilkins presently chairs the public policy and international law practice department of a South Carolina law firm.

Since late 2018 Popadiuk has been the president of the Diplomacy Center Foundation which oversees the development of the National Museum of American Diplomacy.
