Jann Wilde started his musical career when he released his demo EP Boys Out Of New York in 2004. On the early demos, he recorded all the instruments on most of the tracks. In 2005, Jann Wilde teamed up with a band Rose Avenue and formed Jann Wilde & Rose Avenue.
They released one album in February 2007, called "Tokio Okei", before splitting up.
Subsequently, Jann Wilde and Rose Avenue drummer Tender Rexx recruited new musicians. Their record label wanted them to retain the existing band name, but the new formation took the name Jann Wilde & The Neon Comets. They released the critically acclaimed album Neon City Rockers on August 27, 2008. Soon after the release of the album, the band left their label, Hype Records, citing a lack of financial and artistical support.
He started a group called The Saturnettes in 2011. Their eponymous debut album was released on November 16, 2011. A second album was released on November 1, 2013.
He has been performing under his real name Jani Matti Juhani since 2014.
Catamenia is a Finnish black metal band founded in 1995 by Riku Hopeakoski and Mika Tönning in Oulu. They are known for frequent usage of wolves in their album art, but the band is named after a kind of bird. To/Die/For are a gothic metal band from the town of Kouvola in southeast of Finland, originally assembled in 1993 as a hard rock band under the name Mary-Ann. In 1999, they decided to change their musical style to gothic metal, changing their band name as well. The band disbanded in April 2009, but reformed in July 2009, and played their final concert at John Smith Festival in Finland on 22 June 2016. They reformed once again in early 2020.
Uniklubi is a Finnish alternative rock band. It was founded in 1999. The band became well known for its hit "Rakkautta ja piikkilankaa" in 2004. The band's lyrics are in the Finnish language. All members are from the town of Hämeenkyrö, except the bassist Teemu Rajamäki, who is from Ikaalinen. Originally they called themselves 'Pincenez' but they did not get much positive feedback about it, so they renamed their band 'Uniklubi', a Finnish word that means 'Dream Club'.

Twelve entries ultimately competed in the final on 17 February where votes from the public selected "Leave Me Alone" performed by Hanna Pakarinen as the winner.
