Jarlath "Jarly" Og Burns (born 1998/1999) [1] is a Gaelic footballer who plays for the Silverbridge club [1] and at senior level for the Armagh county team.

Personal life

He is the son of Jarlath Burns, the former Armagh captain who was elected GAA President in 2023. [2] [3] [4]

The 2003 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship final was the 116th final of the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship, a Gaelic football tournament. It was held on 28 September 2003 at Croke Park, Dublin and featured defending champions Armagh against Tyrone. The counties are both in the province of Ulster; this was the first All-Ireland Football Final between sides from the same province. Tyrone won their first title after the match finished 0–12 – 0–09 in their favour.

Silverbridge Harps Gaelic Football Club is a Gaelic football club in southern County Armagh, Northern Ireland. It is based in the parish of Upper Creggan, including the village of Silverbridge and surrounding townlands. Silverbridge plays at Keeley Park, as part of the Armagh GAA and is currently in the Armagh Intermediate Football Championship.

Jarlath Burns is an Irish former Gaelic footballer and current president of the GAA. His league and championship career at senior level with the Armagh county team spanned thirteen seasons from 1987 until 1999.

The 2017 Armagh Senior Football Championship is the 117th official edition of Armagh GAA's premier gaelic football competition for senior clubs and was won by Armagh Harps. The tournament consisted of 16 teams with the winner, Armagh Harps receiving the Gerry Fegan Cup and representing Armagh in the Ulster Senior Club Football Championship.

The 1947 Hogan Cup was the second staging of the Hogan Cup since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1946. The competition ran from 20 April to 11 May 1947.

Paddy Burns is a Gaelic footballer who plays at senior level for the Armagh county team. Burns, a corner-back, was unfortunately injured for the 2023 Ulster Senior Football Championship final, in the year his uncle Jarlath, who also played for Armagh, was elected GAA President. Jarlath's son Jarly Óg, a cousin of Paddy Burns, has also played for Armagh alongside Paddy Burns.
