Jeff Myers (born August 11, 1977) is an American composer. [1]
Born and raised in Fremont, California, Myers attended San Jose University (earning a Bachelor of Music degree), the Eastman School of Music (earning a Master of Arts degree), and the University of Michigan (earning a Doctor of Musical Arts degree while studying composition under Pulitzer Prize and Grammy Award-winning composer and pianist William Bolcom and Grammy Award-winning composer Michael Daugherty).
In 2011, Grammy Award-winning violinist Hilary Hahn invited composers to submit pieces for inclusion on her album In 27 Pieces: The Hilary Hahn Encores Album. Out of over 400 submissions, Hahn chose Myers' piece The Angry Birds of Kauai to perform as the 27th and final track. The album was released in 2013. [2] [3]
Myers' work has been presented at such venues as Carnegie Hall, the Library of Congress, Walt Disney Concert Hall, Kimmel Center, Darmstadt, Het Muziekgebouw aan ‘t IJ, Bard College, the Institute for Advanced Study, and (Le) Poisson Rouge.
Noted collaborators and commissioners include the New York City Opera, Beth Morrison Projects, Orchestre national de Lorraine, the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra, the University of Michigan Symphonic Band, Transit, The JACK Quartet, the PRISM Quartet, pianist Ralph van Raat, pipa virtuoso Yang Jing, violinist Yuki Numata, hornist Laura Klock, tenor William Hite, librettist Royce Vavrek, and librettist Quincy Long.

Ellen Taaffe Zwilich is an American composer, the first female composer to win the Pulitzer Prize for Music. Her early works are marked by atonal exploration, but by the late 1980s, she had shifted to a postmodernist, neoromantic style. She has been called "one of America's most frequently played and genuinely popular living composers." She was a 1994 inductee into the Florida Artists Hall of Fame. Zwilich has served as the Francis Eppes Distinguished Professor at Florida State University.

Hilary Hahn is an American violinist. A three-time Grammy Award winner, she has performed throughout the world as a soloist with leading orchestras and conductors, and as a recitalist. She is an avid supporter of contemporary classical music, and several composers have written works for her, including concerti by Edgar Meyer and Jennifer Higdon, partitas by Antón García Abril, two serenades for violin and orchestra by Einojuhani Rautavaara, and a violin and piano sonata by Lera Auerbach.
Anahid Marguerite Ajemian was an American violinist of Armenian descent. Her career in contemporary music began from her desire to help young composers of her generation get their compositions performed. Additionally, she enjoyed performing the music of established contemporary composers. She included these composers with the traditional repertoire in her performances.

Cuarteto Latinoamericano is a string quartet. Founded in Mexico in 1981, the Cuarteto has toured throughout Europe, the Americas, Israel, China, Japan, and New Zealand. They have premiered over one hundred works written for them. Winners of two Latin Grammy Awards for Best Classical Album, they have also been awarded the Diapason d'Or, the Mexican Music Critics Association Award, and three "Most Adventurous Programming" Awards from Chamber Music America.

He previously served as Director of Business Development and Strategic Partnerships at the Philharmonic Society of Orange County, a presenting organization in residence at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa, CA, and also served as Director of Innovation and Program Development at Music Academy of the West in Montecito, California. He co-founded Chamber Music | OC, an arts organization headquartered in Lake Forest, California, and is a founding member and current pianist of the award-winning piano trio, Trio Céleste.
The La Catrina Quartet is a group of four U.S.-based classical musicians who specialize in traditional and classical music from the Americas as well as traditional European pieces. The group was formed in 2001 by four graduate students at the Western Michigan University. The group tours regularly through the United States and Mexico, with about 50 performances per year at venues such as New Museum of Musical Instruments in Phoenix, the Symphony Space in New York and the Festival Internacional Cervantino. The quartet has collaborated with orchestras, composers and others to create new compositions, and record pieces by Latin American artists. In 2012, the group won a Latin Grammy for Best Classical Recording with Brasilero. It has also won the Research and Creative Scholarship Prize from the Western Michigan University and the Creative Scholarship and Arts Council Award of North Carolina.

The Jupiter String Quartet is an American classical music ensemble founded in 2001. It is a string quartet consisting of Nelson Lee (violin); sisters Meg Freivogel (violin) and Liz Freivogel (viola); and Daniel McDonough (cello), who is Meg Freivogel's husband.
