Jerzy Kosiński was a Polish-American novelist and two-time president of the American Chapter of P.E.N., who wrote primarily in English. Born in Poland, he survived World War II and, as a young man, emigrated to the U.S., where he became a citizen.

Jerzy Skolimowski is a Polish film director, screenwriter, dramatist, actor and painter. Beginning as a screenwriter for Andrzej Wajda's Innocent Sorcerers (1960), Skolimowski has made more than twenty films since his directorial debut The Menacing Eye (1960). In 1967 he was awarded the Golden Bear prize for his Belgian film The Departure (1967). Among his other notable films is Deep End (1970), starring Jane Asher and John Moulder Brown.

Jerzy Filip Janowicz Jr. is a Polish inactive professional tennis player and padel player. Janowicz is best known for becoming the first Polish man to reach a major semifinal, at the 2013 Wimbledon Championships. Noted for his very powerful serve, Janowicz can hit at up to 249 km/h (155 mph) along with strong groundstrokes. Despite never winning an ATP Tour title, Janowicz obtained a career-high world ranking of No. 14 in August 2013. He was awarded the Gold Cross of Merit by Polish President Bronisław Komorowski in 2013 for his achievements. Having finished as runner-up at two junior major tournaments, Janowicz rose to prominence on the pro circuit leading up to and following his run to the final, as a qualifier, of the 2012 Paris Masters, during which he defeated five top-20 players such as Andy Murray and Janko Tipsarević. Despite losing to David Ferrer in the finals, he made his top-30 debut in the ATP rankings and became the highest-ranked male Polish tennis player.
Warsaw Premiere is a 1951 Polish historical film directed by Jan Rybkowski and starring Jan Koecher, Barbara Kostrzewska and Jerzy Duszyński. The film's art direction was by Roman Mann. The film portrays the life of the Polish composer Stanisław Moniuszko, particularly focusing on the composition of his 1848 opera Halka. The film was the first Polish costume film made since the Second World War, and was stylistically similar to historical biopics in other Eastern Bloc countries such as Rimsky-Korsakov (1952).
