Jithin Raj (born 31 December 1991) is an Indian film director who predominantly works in Malayalam cinema. [1] [2] His Debut film Pallotty 90's kids went on to win the award for Best Children's Film at the 53rd Kerala State Film Awards. [3]

Personal life

Jithin Raj was born in Paingod Keli village, Thrissur district, Kerala on 31 December 1991 to Ambika Jayaraj and Jayaraj P S. His schooling was at Govt U P School, Konathukunnu , National Higher Secondary School, Irinjalakuda and Government Model Higher Secondary School Nadavaramba. Then he graduated from Sree Narayana Mangalam Institute of Management and Technology, Maliankara in Electronics and Communication Engineering.

He started his career making short films of his own. The Malayalam film maker Anjali Menon praised him for his short film Pallotty, which has won over 20 awards across the state. [4] [5] He also directed two more short films before debuting as a feature film director.

In 2022, Jithin debuted as a feature film director with the movie Pallotty 90's Kids, based on his critically acclaimed short film Pallotty, which won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Children's Film at the 53rd Kerala State Film Awards. [6] Pallotty 90's Kids bagged 3 awards overall at the 53rd Kerala State Film Awards. [7]

The Goat Life is the soundtrack to the Malayalam-language survival drama film of the same name written, directed and co-produced by Blessy, and starred Prithviraj Sukumaran, which is an adaptation of the eponymous 2008 Malayalam novel by Benyamin. The six-song soundtrack composed by A. R. Rahman featured five songs with lyrics written by Rafeeq Ahamed and Rahman himself, along with an instrumental number. Vijay Yesudas, Chinmayi, Sana Moussa, Raja Hasan, Jithin Raj, Rakshita Suresh, Murtuza and Faiz Mustafa had also contributed vocals for the songs. The soundtrack was released on 17 March 2024 through Visual Romance Music.

Ratheesh Balakrishnan Poduval(Malayalam: രതീഷ് ബാലകൃഷ്ണൻ പൊതുവാൾ; ) is an Indian film director, screenwriter in Malayalam cinema. He made his debut cinema with Android Kunjappan Version 5.25, released on 8 November 2019. His films include Kanakam Kaamini Kalaham, Nna Thaan Case Kodu, Madanolsavam. He won Best Screen play award in 53rd Kerala state film awards for the film Nna Thaan Case Kodu.

Davinchi Santhosh is a Malayalam film child actor. His debut was in French Viplavam directed by K.B.Maju. His character in the movie Lonappante Mamodeesa was noticed. He received Kerala State Film Award and Kerala State Television Award for Best Child Actor.

<i>Pallotty 90s Kids</i> Indian film

Pallotty 90's Kids is a Malayalam children's film, which marks the directorial debut of Jithin Raj. The film features Lijo Jose Pellissery and is produced by Sajid Yahiya. Davinchi Santhosh and Neeraj Krishna play the lead roles in the film which also features actors Arjun Ashokan,Balu Varghese,Saiju Kurup, Niranjana Anoop and Dinesh Prabhakar. Pallotty won the 53rd Kerala State Film Awards for Best Children's Film, Best Child Artist and Best Singer.
