John Brooks born 11 November 1977 was a rugby union player for Harlequins in the Guinness Premiership. He also played for the England Saxons, including starting all the matches in the victorious Churchill Cup team of 2007, beating the New Zealand Maori in the final.
Brooks' position of choice was as a prop.
He currently plays golf full-time and does occasional medical work.
He has a PhD in the Epidemiology of Rugby Injuries and set up the England Rugby Injury and Training audit, one of the world's largest injury databases. He has over 30 research publications, including articles in the BJSM, AJSM and BMJ.
Brooks provided assistant commentary at some of Harlequins home games on BBC Sport, alongside Sara Orchard.

Andrew Charles Thomas Gomarsall MBE is a former rugby union player who played at scrum-half for Leeds Carnegie and England.

Pat Sanderson is a former England international rugby union player and a former flanker for Worcester. He is the brother of the former England player Alex Sanderson. His early rugby union career blossomed at Bury Grammar School, Littleborough RUFC and then at Kirkham Grammar School and included his first international cap for the England 16 Group Schools team. He joined Manchester Sale in 1996 and was capped by England U21s and England A. He moved to Harlequins where he played in the 2001 Powergen Cup final, when Quins lost to Newcastle by 30–27.
Daniel Stuart Care is an English rugby union player who plays for Harlequins in the Premiership as a scrum-half. He has played for England national team since 2008 and has won 87 caps. He previously played for England in several youth age groups as well as England Sevens and England Saxons.
Ugochukwu Chiedozie Monye is an English sports pundit and former rugby union player, Monye played 14 times for England, 441 times for his only club Harlequins and played twice for the British & Irish Lions on their 2009 tour to South Africa. Monye won both the second division and then the Premiership title with Harlequins, as well as winning the European Rugby Challenge Cup.
Aston Croall is an English rugby union player for Harlequins. He usually plays at loosehead prop or hooker. He has represented England at the Under 16, 18, 19 21's and England counties. he was part of the England Under 21 squad that competed in the International Rugby Board Under 21 World Championships in June 2005. In 2010 Croall made the switch to join Sale Sharks. On 10 November 2011 it was announced he was returning to Harlequins for the remainder of the 2011/12 Season as an injury replacement. Aston went on to play in a number of games that season for harlequins including a Heineken cup match away in Toulon in which he started in the front row as Hooker. After the end of the season Aston headed back up the M6 to Manchester to see out his 3rd year of his contract. Aston signed an extension on his contract for 1 more season keeping him at sale sharks until 2014. During the summer of 2014 Aston signed a contract with National league 1 side Blackheath, where he featured in all but 1 game due to injury. It was during this season that Aston was chosen to play for England Counties, But Also for the invitation team BARBARIANS FC. Aston finished his playing career at Tonbridge Wells after spending one year with them as player coach, and it was said that he cherished his last moments there on the playing field.
