John Christie (born 26 August 1883 in Alva,Clackmannanshire,Scotland) was the leader of the South African Labour Party from 1946 until his death in 1953. [1]

The Coloured vote constitutional crisis,also known as the Coloured vote case,was a constitutional crisis that occurred in the Union of South Africa during the 1950s as the result of an attempt by the Nationalist government to remove coloured voters in the Union's Cape Province from the common voters' rolls. George Wynn Brereton Huntingford was an English linguist,anthropologist and historian. He lectured in East African languages and cultures at SOAS,University of London from 1950 until 1966.
