John F. Betz and Sons Brewery was a beer brewery in Philadelphia, founded in 1775 as the Robert Hare & J. Warren Peter Brewery, it closed in 1939. The brewery was located at 415 Callowhill, 5th & Lawrence Streets, Philadelphia, PA. [1]

The name John F. Betz can refer to John F. Betz (Sr.), John F. Betz (Jr.), or John F. Betz III. John F. Betz Sr. gave his grandson John F. Betz III a brewery, named the Germania Brewery in Philadelphia, as a Christmas gift in 1907. [2] John F. Betz Sr. was the brother-in-law of D.G. Yuengling, Jr., the founder of D.G. Yuengling & Sons Brewery.

Betz also started a brewery in Jersey City, New Jersey with Henry Lembeck named The Lembeck and Betz Eagle Brewing Company.

The Storz Brewing Company was located at 1807 North 16th Street in North Omaha, Nebraska. Established from a company started in 1863, Storz Brewing began in 1876 by Gottlieb Storz and was owned by the Storz family until 1966; the brewery ceased operations in 1972. Their beers won several prizes in international competitions, and Storz was the top selling brand in Nebraska starting in World War II. Storz was one of the "Big 4" brewers located in Omaha, which also included the Krug, Willow Springs and Metz breweries. On August 8, 2013, it was announced the brand would be revived by Tom Markel, nephew of Monnie Storz Markel, the granddaughter of Gottlieb Storz, with his cousin John Markel, son of Monnie Storz Markel as investor.

The Kingsbury Breweries Company was founded in 1847, at which time it was the Kunz & Bleser Brewing Company. The Mink Building is a five-story German-American style red brick structure at 1361-1369 Amsterdam Avenue between 126th and 128th Streets, in the Manhattanville neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City, originally part of a large brewery complex. Holihan Brothers of Lawrence, Mass. began as a producer of whiskeys in 1856. They operated the Diamond Spring Brewery from 1912 until around Prohibition and then opened after Prohibition in 1933. They produced beer and ales under the Holihan's and Diamond Spring labels. The company also made soda beginning in 1917.
