John Edward Fletcher (born 5 April 1951) is an Australian businessman. He is the former CEO of Coles Myer, the biggest retailer in Australia.
Prior to Coles Myer, Fletcher was CEO of Brambles Industries, after a long career with them spanning 19 years, initially in an accounting role, and later in general management. His lack of retailing experience was criticised by some, citing Fletcher's admission that he "hadn't set foot in a supermarket for 25 years". [1] He has also been a non-executive director on the board of Telstra.
Since 2013, he has been chairman of tyre recycling start-up Green Distillation Technologies. [2]

Big Rooster (PNG) Ltd. is a Papua New Guinean fast food chain with 30 locations. Its specialty is barbecue chicken and fried chicken. Big Rooster has its roots in the Australian state of Queensland, where Nick Tana started the chain in the mid-1970s. It became a family-favourite in the 80s and was the second-largest chicken chain in the country. However, Big Rooster's Australian locations were all bought out by Coles Myer, owner of competitor Red Rooster, in 1986 and 1992. They were rebranded into Red Roosters, with only Papua New Guinean branches surviving.
Sidney Baillieu Myer, also known as Bails Myer, was an Australian businessman and philanthropist. A member of the Myer family retailing dynasty, he was the son of Sidney and Merlyn Myer. He joined his family's company, the Myer Emporium, in 1949 and became its chairman in 1983. He oversaw its merger with GJ Coles & Company to create Coles Myer and retired from business in 1994. In his later life, Myer was involved with philanthropic, scientific and arts organisations.
