Jonathan Carter (born March 20, 1979) is a former American football wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL).
Carter was named All-State, All-Area and team MVP as a junior and senior at Lineville (AL) High School. He was lettered four times in football and gained more than 1,900 yards receiving and 700 yards rushing for his high school career.
Carter played college football at Troy State University (now Troy University). He played only two seasons of college football at Troy State, totaling 46 catches for 869 yards and 11 touchdowns. Carter was an All-Southland Football League selection after starting every game as a senior in 2000, compiling 40 receptions for 632 yards and eight touchdowns, as well as ten kickoff returns for 286 yards and another score. He added seven carries for 88 yards, giving him an average of 91.5 All-purpose yards per game for the season. He also had a career game against Alabama State, gaining 111 yards on seven catches with two touchdowns. He played in 11 games in 1999, totaling six catches for 237 yards and three touchdowns. He recorded a career-long catch of 65 yards on a touchdown strike against Middle Tennessee State.
Carter was drafted in the fifth round of the 2001 NFL draft by the New York Giants. [2] As a rookie with the Giants, Carter appeared in two games and returned eight kickoffs for 155 yards and led the team with a 19.4-yard average per return. In 2002, he returned one kickoff for 14 yards in the Giants’ opener against San Francisco, but was waived by the Giants on October 8, 2002, and claimed by the New York Jets the next day. He was inactive for the Jets’ final 11 regular season games and both post season contests.
He scored a touchdown on his first career reception, the sixth Jets player to do so. He has played 22 games for the team, catching two touchdown passes and receiving a total of 266 yard passes. He has also played one post-season game for the team.
Carter was signed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in January, 2006, after four previous seasons split between the Giants and Jets in New York. Tampa Bay allocated him to the NFL Europe League for the 2006 season, but Carter never made it overseas, due to an injury suffered in the league's stateside joint training camp. He went instead to the NFLEL's facility in Birmingham to recover from his injury.
The Buccaneers were allowed to use Carter's roster exemption on another player from the NFL Europe League who was not already affiliated with an NFL team. Eventually, that exemption would have to be assumed by only one of the two players. Tampa Bay signed defensive end/long-snapper Jordan Hicks in June. When Carter returned to full health, the Buccaneers chose to leave the exemption with Hicks and released Carter.
Carter majored in business at Troy State. He also served as a volunteer for the Jets’ JV Clinic, assisted in the Jets’ Blood Drive in May 2003, and participated in Santana Moss’ event with Operation SCORE (Seizing Control of Right Eating), where he manned one of six stations. The New York Jets players manned each station and taught children about stretching, aerobic exercise and conditioning. Carter also participated in the club's Football Fanfare/Kid Reporter of the Week Program with The Star Ledger by interviewing with a kid reporter after the club's 9/28 game vs. Dallas.
Carter also has a son named Jace and a daughter named Jaylee.[ citation needed ]

David Edward Moore is an American former professional football tight end and long snapper who played in the National Football League (NFL) with the played for the Miami Dolphins, the Buffalo Bills, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers over the span of his 15-year career. His last official game was the 2007 Pro Bowl in Honolulu, Hawaii. Moore didn't miss more than two games in any season for his entire Buccaneers career since first joining the team in 1993. At the time of his retirement, he was the fourth tight end in NFL history to play 200 career games. In fact, before him, only 206 NFL players had accomplished this feat in the entirety of the National Football League's existence. During his career he had a rate of one touchdown scored for every 7.7 passes caught, which was the best touchdown rate by any player in Buccaneers history who had at least 50 career receptions.

They improved on their 2–14 season and finished 6-10, but missing the playoffs for the second straight season.
The 1986 Tampa Bay Buccaneers season was the franchise's 11th season in the National Football League playing their home games at Tampa Stadium and their second under head coach Leeman Bennett. The team matched their 2–14 season from 1985, for one of the worst seasons in franchise history, and according to statistics site Football Outsiders, the sixth-worst team in the NFL since 1950. There is some sentiment that the 1986 team was even worse than the winless team of 1976, and the 473 points conceded was not beaten by any NFL team until the 2001 Indianapolis Colts gave up 486. The Buccaneers selected Bo Jackson with the top pick in the draft, but were unable to convince him to join the team. Three weeks after the draft, Jackson signed a three-year baseball contract with the Kansas City Royals. Despite holding four of the first forty selections in the draft, and the presence of a great influx of fresh talent from defunct USFL teams, the Buccaneers were unable to find any impact players in either the draft or free agency. They entered the season with a roster nearly identical to the previous season's 2–14 team.

The 2021 season was the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' 46th season in the National Football League (NFL) and their third and final season under head coach Bruce Arians. They entered the season as defending Super Bowl champions and were attempting to become the first club to win consecutive Super Bowls since the team's quarterback Tom Brady did so with New England in XXXVIII and XXXIX along with being the first NFC club to do so since the Dallas Cowboys did in 1992 and 1993. They entered the season riding a franchise record eight consecutive wins, which they extended to ten wins until they lost against the Rams. After their Week 16 win over Carolina, the Buccaneers clinched the NFC South division for the first time since 2007. Tampa Bay won a franchise record 13 games in the regular season. In Week 18, they secured the #2 seed in the NFC playoffs, then defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 31–15 in the Wild Card Round, notching postseason wins in consecutive seasons for the first time. However, their title defense came to an end with a 30–27 last-second loss to the eventual Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams in the Divisional Round.
