He is an equality advocate and has expressed concerns over issues of centralization of power to the European Union in his blog. Sunde also participates in the Pirate Party of Finland and describes himself as a socialist. As of April 2017, Sunde has been working on a new venture called Njalla, a privacy oriented domain name registrar.

One of Britain's foremost racing cyclists in the 1970s and 1980s with 380 wins, in 18 years as a professional. He was national champion three times and won a stage of the Tour of Majorca and in the 1973 Tour of Switzerland.
Elkov–Author is a UCI Continental road bicycle racing team based in Czech Republic and participates in UCI Europe Tour. The sponsors of the team are Elkov, an electrical company, and Author, a bicycle manufacturer. The team was one of the best cycling teams before the lifting of the Iron Curtain. The team became professional in 2000. The best known riders for the team were Alois Kaňkovský and Tomáš Bucháček. For the 2008 season the German sprinter André Schulze came from the Wiesenhof team and also Czech cyclist Ondřej Sosenka, a former World Hour Record holder, joined the team.

It was first held in 1989 and since 2005 has been part of the UCI Europe Tour as a 1.2 race and begins in Płońsk. The race is named after Andrzej Trochanowski, coach of Legia Warsaw and of the Polish national team.

The Memorial Van Coningsloo is a European single day cycle race held each year with the start in Wavre and finish in Rijmenam. The race was first organized in 1993 to commemorate local amateur cyclist Philippe Van Coningsloo, who suffered a heart attack and died during a cycling race in 1992. As of 2013, the race is organized as a 1.2 event on the UCI Europe Tour.
