Just Jeans is an Australian clothing chain store, owned and operated by the Just Group. Including Just Jeans, The Just Group owns and operates a total of seven retail brands. Other Just Group brands include Jay Jays, Jacqui E, Portmans, Dotti, Peter Alexander, and Smiggle. The group currently has over 950 stores throughout Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and the United Kingdom. Its main rival is Jeanswest, because they produce a similar style of denim outfits and both are based and operate mainly in Australia.

Jay Jays

Jay Jays is an Australian apparel chain store that was founded in 1993, and is owned and operated by the Just Group. The chain has over 200 stores located in Australia and New Zealand.

Dotti, a female fashion store in Australia and New Zealand, was acquired by the Just Group in 2004. Dotti has a clear market position as a fast fashion brand appealing to fashionistas promoting the ‘fun’ in clothing. The retail company knows the craving for keeping up with, wanting and wearing the latest trends. Knowing this, Dotti's designers continue to seek the high street and global trends to provide fresh clothing inspiration for individuals to look their best. Just Jeans was founded in 1970 by the Kimberly family. The first store was opened on Chapel Street, Prahran. The idea of selling jeans stacked on shelves was new to the market, but proved to be popular. [1]

The Just Group was owned and operated by Kimberly Investments Ltd.

On 8 August 2008, Premier Investments obtained a controlling interest in the shares of Just Group Limited following an off-market takeover offer for all of the group shares that commenced on 31 March 2008. Just Group Limited was removed from the official ASX list on 22 September 2008 and became a non listed public company. [2]

Just Jeans stores are present in every Australian state and New Zealand with over 250 stores operating in 2016. [3] In September 2017, it was reported that Just Jeans would be quitting Bourke Street Mall because of high demanding rent. [4]
