It is part of the Keewaytinook Okimakanak Council and the Nishnawbe Aski Nation. Sandy Lake First Nation Band members separated from Sandy Lake First Nation to form Keewaywin First Nation. The Indian reserve is entirely surrounded by territory of the Unorganized Kenora District.
Miship, or Chip, is an Afro-Asiatic language spoken in Plateau State, Nigeria. Doka is a dialect. The chip people are found in Pankshin local government. The traditional occupation of Chip people is farming. The people worship Na'an. Oral tradition states that they migrated from Kanem-Bornu to their present homeland with other tribes, Ngas, Mupun, Mwaghavul. Most chip names are unisex so in order to differentiate a man from a woman the prefix Na is added to the woman's name and Da is added to the man's. For example a man and a woman both sharing Nandi, the man would be Danan and the woman Nanan.
National Weather Service Paducah is a weather forecast office responsible for monitoring weather conditions for 58 counties in the states of Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana and Missouri. The Paducah office is relatively new compared to others, having been built in 1984. The office is in charge of weather forecasts, warnings and local statements as well as aviation weather. It is also equipped with a WSR-88D (NEXRAD) radar, and an Automated Surface Observing System (ASOS) that greatly increase the ability to forecast.
