Kattradhu Kalavu is a 2010 Indian Tamil-language action film written and directed by Balaji Devi Prasad, an erstwhile advertisement filmmaker. It stars Kreshna of Alibhabha fame and Vijayalakshmi in the lead roles, while choreographer Kalyan, Cochin Hanifa, Sampath Raj, Santhana Bharathi, and Ganja Karuppu play supporting roles. The music was composed by Paul Jacob with editing by Mu. Kasivishwanathan and cinematography by Nirav Shah. The film released on 28 May 2010.

Elango Kumaravel is an Indian theatre actor and writer. He is also a co-founder of the Chennai based theatre group "Magic Lantern". He is an alumnus of Pondicherry University's Sankaradas Swamigal School of Performing Arts and the Chennai-based theatre workshop koothuppattarai. He has also worked as a casting assistant for the 2007 film Loins of Punjab Presents and wrote the script for the 2008 film Kattradhu Kalavu. He was involved in the production of "Ey Aa O!" a musical fusion work of collaboration between Indian folk and classical musicians.

Kalavu is a 2013 Kannada movie based on Dr KY Narayanaswamy's novel of the same title. The movie is the directorial debut of Ravi M. The film stars Umashree, Kari Subbu, Hulagappa Kattimani and others.

Kuppur Yalappa Narayanaswamy, also known as KYN, is a popular Kannada poet, scholar, critic, and playwright. He is currently a Kannada professor in the Maharani Cluster University, Bangalore. He is the author of many popular Kannada plays including Kalavu, Anabhigna Shakuntala, Chakraratna, Huliseere, and Vinura Vema. He has also translated Kuvempu's Shudra Tapaswi into Telugu. The film was released on ZEE5 on 9 February 2019.

Kalavu Thozhirchalai is a 2017 Indian Tamil-language heist film written and directed by T. Krishnasamy. The film features Kathir and Kushi aka Rebecca in the lead roles, while Vamsi Krishna, Kalanjiyam, Senthil, and Renuka play pivotal roles. The music was composed by Shyam Benjamin with cinematography by V. Thyagarajan and editing by Yoga Bhaskar. The film began production during 2013 and was released after several delays on 22 September 2017 to mixed reviews from critics. The movie was also dubbed in Hindi as Khazana-The Robbery.
