KarriereKanonen is an online community and an annual competition for unsigned Danish singers and bands.

Contents

To enter the competition musicians have to upload music to dr.dk/karrierekanonen. From the pool of entered music, 12 acts are selected by a jury to play at music festival SPOT. Following eight bands are selected to continue in the process. All eight play at Smukfest, where three winners are announced. The winners get tailored coaching and training through Bandakademiet, a gig at Smukfest, and airplay on DR P3 and P6 BEAT when they're ready for it.

KarriereKanonen has resulted in a good number of successful acts through the years like The Minds of 99, Vild $mith, Magtens Korridorer, Tue West, and Rasmus Nøhr.

Roskilde Festival Annual music festival in Roskilde

The Roskilde Festival is a Danish music festival held annually south of Roskilde. It is one of the largest music festivals in Europe and the largest in Northern Europe. It was created in 1971 by two high school students, Mogens Sandfær and Jesper Switzer Møller, and promoter Carl Fischer. In 1972, the festival was taken over by the Roskilde Foundation, which has since run the festival as a non-profit organization for development and support of music, culture and humanism. In 2014, the Roskilde Foundation provided festival participants with the opportunity to nominate and vote upon which organizations should receive funds raised by the festival.

<i>Project SuperStar</i>

Project SuperStar is a singing talent search competition organised by MediaCorp and broadcast every Wednesday and Thursday at 8:00 pm on Channel U in Singapore. Project SuperStar was organised to uncover and develop young talent in Mandarin pop in Singapore. Closely modelled after the Pop Idol, 24 contestants were selected to enter the Quarter Finals of the competition. For both seasons, it was hosted by Quan Yi Fong and Jeff Wang. Episodes were pre-recorded, and broadcast on Wednesday for male contestants, while episodes on Thursday feature female contestants. Result shows were shown on the same Thursday of the week at 11:30 pm. Season 3's Live-telecast will begin on 18 August 2014 and the finale is set to be on 26 October 2014. It is announced that Dasmond Koh, Jeremy Chan and Shane Pow will be the hosts for the third season.

NorthSide Festival (Denmark)

NorthSide Festival, or simply NorthSide, is a three-day music festival held every year in June in Aarhus, Denmark. It has three stages with rotating artists and several sideshow events and happenings. The first festival commenced in 2010 and since 2011, the festival has been held at Ådalen in Åbyhøj. The 2017 festival was attended by 40,000 people each day.

Remee returned for his third season as judge and Pernille Rosendahl and Soushock replaced Thomas Blachman and Lina Rafn as judges.

X Factor is a Danish television music competition to find new singing talent. This season will be the first season broadcast on TV2. after DR1 announced in August 16, 2017 that Season 11 is the final season broadcast on their channel. for the 3rd time on the danish X Factor the 3 finalist that came in the final have never been in the bottom two. Kristian Kjærlund won the competition and Thomas Blachman became the winnning mentor for the 3rd time and the 2nd judge to win 2 seasons in a row.
