New wave is a genre encompassing numerous pop-oriented music styles popular in the late 1970s and the 1980s. It is rooted in mid-1970s punk rock. New wave moved away from traditional blues and rock and roll sounds to create pop and rock music that incorporated disco, mod and electronic music. It engendered subgenres and fusions, including synth-pop.
The UEFA Cup Winners' Cup was a football club competition contested annually by the most recent winners of all European domestic cup competitions. The cup was one of the many inter-European club competitions that have been organised by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA). The first competition was held in the 1960–61 season – but not recognised by the governing body of European football until October 1963. The tournament ran for 39 seasons with its final edition held in 1998–99, after which it was absorbed into the UEFA Cup.

It is frequently listed as the most influential punk album, and one of the most important albums of all time.
The Roskilde Festival is a Danish music festival held annually south of Roskilde. It is one of the largest music festivals in Europe and the largest in Northern Europe. It was created in 1971 by two high school students, Mogens Sandfær and Jesper Switzer Møller, and promoter Carl Fischer. In 1972, the festival was taken over by the Roskilde Foundation, which has since run the festival as a non-profit organization for development and support of music, culture and humanism. In 2014, the Roskilde Foundation provided festival participants with the opportunity to nominate and vote upon which organizations should receive funds raised by the festival.
Modjo was a French house musical duo made up of producer Romain Tranchart and vocalist Yann Destagnol. They had major success in 2000 with their hit single "Lady ".

Eurovision: You Decide is the most recent name of a BBC television programme that was broadcast annually to select the United Kingdom's entry into the Eurovision Song Contest. The show had previously gone under several other names, including Festival of British Popular Songs (1957), Eurovision Song Contest British Final (1959–1960), The Great British Song Contest (1996–1999), Eurovision: Making Your Mind Up (2004–2007), Eurovision: Your Decision (2008), and Eurovision: Your Country Needs You (2009–2010), but was known, for most of its history, as A Song for Europe.
Project SuperStar is a singing talent search competition organised by MediaCorp and broadcast every Wednesday and Thursday at 8:00 pm on Channel U in Singapore. Project SuperStar was organised to uncover and develop young talent in Mandarin pop in Singapore. Closely modelled after the Pop Idol, 24 contestants were selected to enter the Quarter Finals of the competition. For both seasons, it was hosted by Quan Yi Fong and Jeff Wang. Episodes were pre-recorded, and broadcast on Wednesday for male contestants, while episodes on Thursday feature female contestants. Result shows were shown on the same Thursday of the week at 11:30 pm. Season 3's Live-telecast will begin on 18 August 2014 and the finale is set to be on 26 October 2014. It is announced that Dasmond Koh, Jeremy Chan and Shane Pow will be the hosts for the third season.
Rasmus Nøhr is a Danish musician, composer, and guitarist who had a breakthrough in Denmark with the song Det glade pizzabud, a duet with Ida Corr. In 2004 he released his debut album called Rasmus Nøhr. In 2006 he released his second album - "Lykkelig Smutning". He has now released his third album called "I stedet for en tatovering"

The single achieved considerable chart success throughout Europe and Oceania, including the United Kingdom, where it reached No. 3, and New Zealand, where it topped the chart.
The Danish Music Awards (DMA) is a Danish award show. The show has been arranged by IFPI since 1989, and was originally called IFPI-prisen ("IFPI-Award") until 1991, when it changed its name to Dansk Grammy. The current name was given in 2001, after the American Grammy Awards registered the name Grammy as their trademark. In 2011 IFPI joined together with TV2 (Denmark) and KODA to present the awards ceremony.

"Dr. Beat" is the first international single released by the American band Miami Sound Machine, led by Gloria Estefan, on their first English language, but eighth overall, studio album Eyes of Innocence (1984). The song which was written by the band's lead songwriter and drummer Enrique "Kiki" Garcia and was released worldwide in 1984 becoming a top success across Europe where the album impacted the charts with this hit.
New Politics is a Danish rock band from Copenhagen, formed in 2009. It currently consists of David Boyd, Søren Hansen, and Louis Vecchio. The band's sound has been described as a blend of "punk, pop, and electronically induced dance rock". They have released four albums: New Politics in 2010, A Bad Girl in Harlem in 2013, Vikings in 2015, Lost in Translation in 2017 and An Invitation to an Alternate Reality in 2019 and are best known for their singles "Yeah Yeah Yeah" and "Harlem".
Must Be the Music is a British television musical talent competition contested by aspiring singers and musicians drawn from public auditions. The show is a music competition and reality show that was broadcast in the United Kingdom and Ireland. Auditions were held in Edinburgh, Manchester, London and also held in Ireland. The show began airing in August on Sky1, and was also simulcast in HD. Fearne Cotton presented the show. The first and only series was won by Emma's Imagination, a female singer from Dumfries.
NorthSide Festival, or simply NorthSide, is a three-day music festival held every year in June in Aarhus, Denmark. It has three stages with rotating artists and several sideshow events and happenings. The first festival commenced in 2010 and since 2011, the festival has been held at Ådalen in Åbyhøj. The 2017 festival was attended by 40,000 people each day.
X Factor is a Danish television music competition to find new singing talent. The fifth season premiered on January 1, 2012 on DR1 and ended on March 23, 2012 at Jyske Bank Boxen. Lise Rønne returned for her fourth season as host. Thomas Blachman, Pernille Rosendahl and Cutfather returned for their respective fourth, third and second seasons.
X Factor is a Danish television music competition to find new singing talent. The Third season premiered on January 1, 2010 and ended on March 27 on DR1. Signe Muusmann replaced Lise Rønne as host. Remee returned for his third season as judge and Pernille Rosendahl and Soushock replaced Thomas Blachman and Lina Rafn as judges.

This season will be the first season broadcast on TV2. after DR1 announced in August 16, 2017 that Season 11 is the final season broadcast on their channel. for the 3rd time on the danish X Factor the 3 finalist that came in the final have never been in the bottom two. Kristian Kjærlund won the competition and Thomas Blachman became the winnning mentor for the 3rd time and the 2nd judge to win 2 seasons in a row.
