He is known for fighting and sports themes, with images of heroic young men with the occasional fine details as he moves from one topic to another. He considered Tiger Mask and Star of the Giants to be his life's work. He was married to Pai Bing-bing and fathered a daughter, Pai Hsiao-yen, who was kidnapped, tortured, and murdered in 1997.

The Harada House is a historic house located on 3356 Lemon Street in Riverside, California. The house, created in 1884 and built upon by the Harada family, was the focus of a critical application of the California Alien Land Law of 1913, which prevented foreigners who were ineligible for citizenship from owning property. The state of California attempted to seize the property from the family in California v. Harada, but the Haradas ultimately won the case and retained ownership of the house. The house was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1990 and is currently overseen by the Riverside Metropolitan Museum.

Ken Harada was a chargé d'affaires to Vichy France and a diplomat to the Holy See from Japan. He was appointed as a special envoy to the Vatican, and served in this capacity from 1942 to 1945. He was the first diplomatic representative to the Vatican from Japan.
Ken Harada was a member of the Diet of Japan from the Liberal Democratic Party until resigning his office on January 24, 1989 following alleged involvement in the Recruit scandal, where Harada admitted Recruit had given him donations, in the form of seasonal summer gifts, for ten years. While the donations were not illegal, they raised questions of political ethics which eventually led Harada to resign. As a member of the Diet, Harada served as Minister of Economic Planning, and earned the close trust of Prime Minister Noboru Takeshita. He was the third minister to resign over the scandal. Harada had been appointed to direct the Ministry of Economic Planning only one month before his resignation. After party officials had already placed him as the chair of a committee in charge of investigating the Recruit stock scandal, where he had concluded that nothing illegal had taken place. In 1992, Harada backed Keizō Obuchi as new leader of the Liberal Democratic Party. Kōichirō Aino replaced Harada as Minister of Economic Planning.

A mutant with the power to charge his own katana, the character first appeared in Daredevil #111, and was created by writer Steve Gerber and artist Bob Brown. The character is depicted usually as a recurring nemesis of Wolverine.
Daisuke Harada is a Japanese professional wrestler, currently signed to Pro Wrestling Noah, where he a former three-time GHC Junior Heavyweight Champion, while also being a former four-time GHC Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion. He is also known for his time in Osaka Pro Wrestling, where he was a two-time Osaka Pro Wrestling Champion and a two-time Osaka Pro Wrestling Tag Team Champion as part of the tag team Momo no Seishun Tag with Atsushi Kotoge. Harada and Kotoge have also worked together for various other promotions across Japan and for Philadelphia, Pennsylvania–based Chikara in the United States.
