KEZI, virtual and VHF digital channel 9, is an ABC-affiliated television station licensed to Eugene, Oregon, United States. The station is owned by Heartland Media. KEZI's studios are located on Chad Drive in Eugene, and its transmitter is located on East Prairie Mountain near Horton, Oregon.
KVAL-TV, virtual and VHF digital channel 13, is a CBS-affiliated television station licensed to Eugene, Oregon, United States. The station is owned by the Sinclair Broadcast Group, which also operates dual NBC/CW+ affiliate KMTR under a shared services agreement (SSA) with owner Roberts Media, LLC. KVAL-TV's studios are located on Blanton Road in Eugene. KMTR maintains separate facilities on International Court in Springfield, Oregon; master control and some internal operations for KMTR are based at the KVAL studios, where the two stations also share transmitter facilities.

Owned by the Zolo Media subsidiary of BendBroadband, it is a sister station to low-powered CBS affiliate KBNZ-LD. The two stations share studios on Lower Meadow Drive in Bend; KOHD's transmitter is located in the city on Awbrey Butte west of US 97.
Kezi is a village in Matabeleland South province in Zimbabwe. The language spoken in Kezi is predominantly Northern Ndebele, which is the second most spoken language in Zimbabwe. It is home to the old mine shafts at bhalagwe mountain or kopje where Mugabe's fifth brigade killed and bureid thousand upon thousands of Ndebele speaking people during the Genocide known as guguraundi, which means the rain which washes away chaff in shona language. It is one of the widely documented but unacknowledged genocides. The landscape is dotted by kopjes and river glades which feed the main rivers like shashane, semukwe, ovi and many more. The economic hub is Maphisa which is 10k from the magisterial town of Kezi. Most of its able bodied people live in South Africa having fled the genocide economic exclusion in tribal leaning Zimbabwe.

Occupy Eugene was a collaboration that occurred in Eugene, Oregon based on the Occupy Wall Street movement which began in New York City on September 17, 2011. Occupy Eugene included peaceful protests and demonstrations. Protesters were concerned about fairness issues regarding wealth-distribution, banking regulation, housing issues and corporate greed. The first protest march was held on October 15, 2011. The march started at the Wayne Morse Free Speech Plaza and continued downtown before marching over Ferry Street Bridge. It was reported that close to 2000 people were in attendance from all over the state of Oregon. Occupy Eugene continued to hold regular protests and actions until it left the encampment in December 2011. Protesters have stated that they do not have a set group of leaders. Occupy Eugene General Assemblies have met from as frequently as twice a day at times during active occupations, and as infrequently as weekly. Many committees have met since at least the third General Assembly, typically weekly. Decisions are made through a process known as consensus. Occupy Eugene's consensus process operates in a similar fashion to how consensus is being handled in New York City by protesters involved in Occupy Wall Street. Although the exact method varies from Occupation to Occupation. As of October 18, 2011, The Eugene police department is allowing protesters to camp in downtown Eugene, although city law prohibits it. Eugene police also stated that downtown camping won't be permanently allowed.
