Khaleel Ahmed (born 4 April 1907) is an Indian judge and former Chief Justice of Orissa High Court. [1]
Ahmed was born as the eldest son of his parents on 4th April,1907,in Patna. He got his preliminary education from Patna High School. In the year 1928,he was enrolled for reading Law and the Post Graduation Course in Mathematics. After obtaining a law degree in 1930,he joined the profession in 1931 in District Civil Court,Patna. On 23.4.1951,he was elevated to the Bench of Patna High Court.[ citation needed ]
He also served as the Chief Justice of Orissa High Court from 18.1.1965 to 5.4.1967. [1]
Gopal Ballav Pattanaik is an Indian lawyer and later a jurist who served over a period of 19 years in the bench of the Odisha High Court as a permanent judge,as chief justice of the Patna High Court,Judge of the Supreme Court of India and as the 32nd Chief Justice of India.

“If Judiciary is finished,democracy will be finished. This bill affects the independence of the judiciary,there is no doubt about it. The way Governors are being transferred to Mizoram,the Chief Justices and judges of the HCs will be transferred to newly created HCs in North East. No judge will be able to pass strong orders."
