Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Oil & Gas Company Limited commonly known as KPOGCL, is a provincial oil and gas holding company based in Peshawar, Pakistan. It was established by Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in 2013. [1] [2] KPOGCL is a member of the Pakistan Petroleum Exploration and Production Companies Association. [3] The Acting chief executive officer of the company is Nasir Khan . [4]
The company owns exploration and production rights for about 10 trillion cubic feet (280 billion cubic metres) of natural gas and 600 million barrels (95 million cubic metres) of petroleum resources in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. [5] In January 2016, the Federal Government of Pakistan allowed KPOGCL for the first time in country's history to sell seepage crude oil. The company may supply up to 23 barrels per day (3.7 m3/d) to Attock Refinery. [6]
In 2015, the company signed a memorandum of understanding with Russian exploration company Rosgeologia on joint exploration and production activities. [7] [8]
In addition to its own activities, the company provides services to other oil and gas companies in seismic data acquisition, geological and geo-physical surveys, logistic support and security arrangement. [9] [10]

Oil and Gas Development Company Limited, commonly known as OGDCL is a Pakistani oil and gas company. It has a primary listing on the Pakistan Stock Exchange, and secondary listing on the London Stock Exchange. Established in 1961 by the Government of Pakistan, it was turned into a public listed company on 23 October 1997. Today it is involved in exploring, drilling, refining and selling oil and gas in Pakistan. It is based on Jinnah Avenue, Blue Area in Islamabad, with the Government of Pakistan holding 74% stake in the company. Rest are held by private investors.
