The Kimber Micro is a lightweight, single-action pocket pistol chambered for the .380 ACP cartridge, produced by Kimber Manufacturing. This firearm model was first announced in 2013. [1] [2]

.380 ACP cartridge

The .380 ACP (9×17mm) is a rimless, straight-walled pistol cartridge developed by firearms designer John Moses Browning. The cartridge headspaces on the mouth of the case. It was introduced in 1908 by Colt, for use in its new Colt Model 1908 pocket hammerless semi-automatic, and has been a popular self-defense cartridge ever since, seeing wide use in numerous handguns. Other names for .380 ACP include .380 Auto, 9mm Browning, 9mm Corto, 9mm Kurz, 9mm Short, 9×17mm and 9 mm Browning Court. It should not be confused with .38 ACP.

Kimber Manufacturing is an American company that designs, manufactures, and distributes small arms such as M1911 pistols, Solo pistols and rifles. The USA Shooting Team, Marines assigned to Special Operations Command, and the LAPD SWAT team use Kimber pistols.

In 2014, Kimber introduced the Kimber Micro. This included remove-able grips and mainspring housing, rounded trigger guard, metal ambidextrous safety, drift-able fixed sights, single slot accessory rail, solid aluminum trigger, full length metal guide rod.

The Smith & Wesson Model 457 is a compact semi-automatic pistol from Smith & Wesson's "third generation" series of alloy and steel-framed handguns in company's Value Line of budget-priced auto pistols. The 457 is a compact pistol chambered for the .45 ACP cartridge. The design utilizes a traditional double-action trigger mechanism, meaning that the first shot is fired with long double-action pull, with following shots fired in single-action. There is a slide-mounted safety lever that drops the hammer from its cocked position when moved to the 'safe' position. The 457 has a 3.75-inch barrel and 7-round magazine capacity. It is available in all black as the Model 457, in stainless steel as the Model 457S, or in two tone with aluminum frame with a matte blue carbon steel slide as the Model 457 TDA.
