Chaudhary Charan Singh, better known as Charan Singh was an Indian politician and a freedom fighter. Singh was principally known for his land and agricultural reform initiatives. He briefly served as the prime minister of India from July 1979 to August 1979 and was Member of Parliament (MP) for Baghpat. During prime ministership he was a member of the Janata Party (Secular). He served as 5th Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh as a member of Bhartiya Kranti Dal. He also briefly served as deputy prime minister of India from January 1979 to July 1979 as a member of the Janata Party. Singh is widely regarded as the "Champion of farmers", after his life has been dedicated to advocating for the wellbeing and rights of farmers.
Kisan Mazdoor Bahujan Party was a splinter group of the Jantantrik Bahujan Samaj Party in India. Babu Jharkhande Rai was an Indian Communist politician. He belonged to Bhumihar Brahmin community and was an eminent leader and one of the pillars of the Communist Party of India in Purvanchal, Uttar Pradesh. He was elected to the 4th Lok Sabha, 5th Lok Sabha and 7th Lok Sabha in 1967, 1971 and 1980 from Ghosi constituency. He held the seat till he died on 17 March 1984. Ram Chandra Vikal Gurjar was a freedom fighter. He was an agriculture minister and was elected twice as a Member of Parliament as well as a five-time Member of the Legislative Assembly. He had charge of Jammu and Kashmir during the governments of Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi. He was also a well known yoga teacher. Vikal was influenced by the ideology of the Arya Samaj from childhood and participated in the freedom movement from his student days. An agriculturist, Vikal championed the cause of the farmers, labourers and backward classes, and was instrumental in implementing various social welfare measures such as getting irrigation rates reduced and land revenue written off.
Deena Nath Singh Yadav was an Indian Marxist politician. He served as a member of Uttar Pradesh State Secretariat of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) from 1991 until the 23rd State Conference in October 2021. From then until his death, he served as the member of Uttar Pradesh State Committee of CPI(M). He also served as the Uttar Pradesh state secretary of the All India Kisan Sabha. He also served as a member of Central Executive Committee of the All India Kisan Sabha.
