Krishna Bahadur Rai (also Krishna Rai) is a Nepali politician and a member of the House of Representatives of the federal parliament of Nepal. [2] He was elected from Kathmandu-3 constituency,representing CPN UML of the left alliance, [3] under the first-past-the-post electoral system. [4] This is the first time he has been elected to parliament. [5] He defeated his nearest rival Ambika Basnet of Nepali Congress by acquiring 19,169 votes to Basnet's 14,884. [6]

The Rastriya Prajatantra Party is a constitutional monarchist and Hindu nationalist political party in Nepal. It was formed by former Panchayat-era prime ministers Surya Bahadur Thapa and Lokendra Bahadur Chand. The party led the government two separate times in 1997 under Thapa and Chand. The two were also appointed prime minister by King Gyanendra in the 2000s;Chand in 2002 and Thapa in 2003.
Nabindra Raj Joshi was a Nepali politician and former minister for industry. Joshi joined politics as a student,becoming the general secretary of Nepal Students Union in 1986. He passed a Motion of Confidence on 11 March 2018 with 208 votes.

He garnered 20,747 votes to KC's 17,294. After his party united with CPN UML to form Nepal Communist Party (NCP),he became the new party's "co-incharge" for Solukhumbu district.
