Kristers Freibergs (born July 3, 1992) is a Latvian professional ice hockey defenceman. He is currently playing for HK Riga of the Russian Minor Hockey League.

Freibergs made his European Elite debut with HK Liepājas Metalurgs of the Belarusian Extraleague during the 2010-11 season.

He participated at the 2012 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships as a member of the Latvia men's national junior ice hockey team.

HK Kremenchuk

HK Kremenchuk is an ice hockey team based in Kremenchuk, Ukraine, playing in the Ukrainian Hockey Extra League that was formed prior to the 2016–17 season. The club was founded in 2010 and initially competed in Ukrainian amateur championships before joining the Belarusian Vysshaya Liga for 2013–14 season. After finishing the regular 2013–14 season Kremenchuk was forced to withdraw from the league prior to the playoffs due to the political situation in Ukraine. The team then joined the Ukrainian Championship for the 2014–15 season, winning the regular season and finishing as runners-up in the playoffs. Kremenchuk has also qualified for the IIHF Continental Cup on one occasion.

HK Mogo ice hockey team

HK Mogo are an ice hockey team based in Riga, Latvia. They are members of the Latvian Hockey Higher League and also compete for the Latvian Cup. HK Mogo was founded in 2014 by Mogo Finance and joined the Latvian Hockey Higher League in the same year. The team won both the regular season title and the playoffs during their first season and as a result qualified for the 2015–16 IIHF Continental Cup. In 2016 HK Mogo joined the newly revived Latvian Cup after defeating HK Kurbads in the final. Two seasons team played their home games out of the Inbox.lv ledus halle, since October 2016 team has its own arena - Mogo ledus halle.

Kristers Aparjods Latvian luger

Kristers Aparjods is a Latvian luger. He started competing in luge in 2006. He took the gold medal in the singles event in the 2016 Winter Youth Olympics in Lillehammer, Norway, where he was also selected as the flag bearer for the Latvians in the opening ceremony. He was also part of the Latvian team which won the team relay at the 2015 Junior World Championships in Lillehammer, and went on to take a silver in the singles at the 2016 Junior World Championships in Winterberg, Germany, and a gold in the singles on home ice at the 2017 Junior Worlds at Sigulda. He competed at the 2018 Winter Olympics, finishing 11th in the men's singles event and sixth as part of the Latvian team in the team relay.
